Stopped off here for lunch today and what a lovely little jem of a tea house you have! The gardens are stunning with flowers in bloom everywhere! and a real treat to Sit and dine in. The food is well presented, fresh, tasty and value for money! Lovely feel to this little place with really friendly staff. My two friends and I were in Leigh for the day and stopped off here for a coffee however as we saw other peoples food plates coming out looking so good we decided to stay and eat our lunch here. It soon became full as passers by stopped off, staff managed to cope well with the busy stream of customers and Were polite when having to turn customers away offering an alternative time slot to pop back which each customer appeared happy with. I will definatly be returning here to eat and would happily recommend people give it a try! - Thank you to the staff for a lovely lunch in a very pretty little garden!

Stopped by for lunch at just after 12pm(school holidays) and the place was almost full, 10 minutes later and there would have been no room at the inn, all tables outside where taken or reserved so indoors it was, a light airy place with lots of added decor/bits and bobs, a simple menu, i opted for a mackerel salad at £7.25 off the specials board which turned out to be smoked mackerel but didn't state that on the blackboard on the wall where i saw it, but looking on the website menu after it states smoked i much prefer un-smoked but never mind, it was nice and light perfect for a summers day light lunch, all very well presented and the plate was filled with salad and slaw too as was all the other dishes that other people had ordered(and not a fried chip in sight.!!),also tried the cream tea/scones, Very nice at £4.50,the Tea for one is well over 2 cup fulls too, the tea gardens where real nice and in full bloom, many tables and sunshades but i imagine not so great on a cold windy grey day, a perfect spot for lunch in Old Leigh in the sun which always seems busy when i go past, good service too with fair prices and a mellow atmosphere, looking forward for a return visit

Have been to Sara's many a time.

Is lovely to sit outside if weathr permits although lovely setting inside. Rather small inside and tables are a little cramped. You can often find someone perching on the end of your table which is not ideal

Service is not always the best, average I would say. Often you can be left sitting with someone else's leftovers on your table for a considerable time before it's even noticed you are there and it is cleared.

Staff are very slow to take your order the time it takes the food to reach your table is even slower, seems to only be one person in the kitchen.

When you do recieve your food it's very tasty which is why we go back. Although quite pricey for what it is.

Visited Sara's on Friday morning, arrived at ten for opening and by 20 past the garden wad pretty full! Both had a full English which was lovely and as soon as they bought the menu on arrival a water bowl and some biscuits for the dog appeared! Lovely setting in the old town and the garden is a little oasis. Even if the weather is not good dogs are allowed inside.
