Having previously been to the Rose Garden when it was in Hockley when we saw it had moved to Rochford closer to us we followed it and have been there now several times for lunch from work. To be brutally honest their new location above the Miley Pub/Bar is not a good location and if we hadn't had previous good experiences at the Rose garden we would have been unlikely to bother trying it out,
The lunchtime menus ranges from salads and hot sandwiches through to some gastropub type dishes. Quality and quantities are good mains between about 6-10 pounds . Their Cajun chicken sandwich for instance includes a full hot grilled chicken breast sliced inside large ciabatta bread type roll with good dressing, decent side salad and large home cut chips will leave you full as a lunchtime dish at from memory about £6.50 and with inexpensive drinks , we regarded it as good value.
It is almost empty at lunchtimes which I can only attribute to its location and people not knowing it to be there!
Haven't been to evenings with their full restaurant type menu but our friends report good things and I believe it is busier.
My advice to the owner would be to locate another more visible local site as soon as possible your quality deserves more customers than you are seemingly getting!
