The menu is still poor for 2 vegetarian visitors, however the service was good, and the establishment welcomed us and our dog into the snug area (understandably the views are reserved for those unencumbered by a soggy mutt!)

I reviewed this place before, and the service (and stylish decor) is now unrecognisable. WELL DONE.

However, a ploughman's (it was nice, lots of cheese!) as the only vegetarian option is very disappointing and it could have done with more carbohydrates on the stylish wooden platter (crisps would have been a fine addition rather than; 3 slabs of cheese, 2 home made pickles, 1 slice of bread and a salad garnish). As instructed, following my previous review, we did ask if there was any other options when we ordered. We were apologetically told that there was not.

As reviewed before, the people around us who ordered the crab were incredibly positive about their meals. If seafood is your thing, come here! Vegetarian's... maybe not.

Called here after a walk along the coastal path. once u enter the pub it is very modern compared to the outside and has a lovely raised eating area and a outside balcony. You can eat in the pub as well if you have a dog and muddy boots. there is also a lovely outside area to sit in popular with walkers looking for a well earned drink. we had the famous crab sandwiches which were delicous the evening menu board looked equally enticing. the toilets were very clean although i am not sure about being Labelled a fishwife did much for my street creed ! Great place with defo visit again

The decor is lovely, well laid out pleasant surrounds while still keeping some of the original features. Limited parking so we had to drive a couple of streets away to park. We had drinks and decided to try the food in the restaurant raised area showing stunning views of the harbour and sea. The staff kindly informed us that our table was ready and our meal awaits us, which was a nice touch. Our meal was the angus beef burgers with chips, salad, relishand a larger bun. The presentation was excellent and the food was tasty

Visited this establishment for lunch.
Total chaos on arrival - after a wait at the bar was told that you just find your own table.
Did that and then discovered that you order at the bar.
Menu is essentially sandwiches with crisps or a handful of hot options.
Ordered fishcakes with chips.
Fishcakes more potato than fish and chips soggy and limp.
All in all 1970's pub grub.
Portion sizes tiny.
The most disappointing thing is that the place has clearly been returned and has great sea views.
They need to sort out front of house, decide if they are a pub or a restaurant and stop trying to make money with tiny portions of bad food.

All in all it was a real shocker.

Just called for a drink on our way home. The pub has recently been totally refurbished to a high standard. Good selection of real ales. Dogs allowed in the bar area which now has a good stone floor. Unfortunately one or two of the new stools have lost wheels, these are still in the bar. If your not aware.
