Stayed and dived with Scuba Junkie for 3 days in November 2013. What impressed me the most was the operational efficiency, with four dive boats, lodging, kitchen, around 70 local staff, interns and divemasters, not a single beat was missed and everything ran incredibly smoothly as far as I could see. Scuba Junkie also has its own turtle hatchery; they pay locals who find the eggs, and if you're lucky during your stay, you can see the hatchlings being set on their way to the ocean. They also participate in reef surveys with WWF. Divemasters are all very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Finally, their kitchen also serves vegetarian options for meals (including curry tofu and veggie burgers), which is not always easy to find in Malaysia.
