“Outstanding Massage”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 27, 2014 via mobile

Whist we did not stay here we did however have a daily massage at Sadge. The massage area is open air location overlooking the bay with the sound of the waves. Our massage ladies, Wayan and Komang where outstanding at what what they do. We often have massages and this massage is one that will be spoken about forever. Thank you so very much Wayan and Komang. We tried booking through their website but didn't get a response after trying several times. In the end we sent them an email and got an immediate response. Unfortunately by then they had sold out of the sea view rooms except for the first night of our 5 night stay. Luckily by the the evening of our first night someone cancelled and we stayed in the sea view room for the entire 5 nights.

We stayed in both sea front chalets 7 and 3 and both were very nice. The beds have mossie nets and after the first night we used them as there are mossies around. The views from the seafront chalets are worth the extra cost and they have hot water whereas the garden chalets don't. The bathroom was large but for some season the shower and toilet have been put in small cubicles and they aren't that great. The shower cubicle wan't tiled and was a bit dirty. However, overall to get such a villa for $70 a night justifies 5 stars. Unfortunately the air cons in chalets 3 and 7 are only 9,000 BTU and they should be at least 12,000 BTU to cope with the large rooms. The air con was just about sufficient for sleeping at night under the mossie net. There is a ceiling fan but the mossie net blocks the effect of it.

Compared to the the other resorts on the island this resort is very spacious and the villas haven't been crammed in together. There is a very nice sea water infinity pool with good views over Mushroom Bay. However, there are only 6 sun loungers and 3 umbrellas and they need to add more. We ate the Indonesian food at the restaurant and it was very nice and very reasonably priced. We also enjoyed the breakfasts.

The hotel it becoming increasingly popular and it is best to book in advance. They are already almost fully booked for July and August.

Room Tip: Only 7 chalets have been reopened when we visited of which 4 are on the seafront. Chalet 3 is on th...

Although we didn't stay here we were shown through the bungalows and had a couple of meals here during our stay in Mushroom Bay.
We enjoyed a simple lunch with a lovely breeze in the outdoor restaurant overlooking the bay. In the evening dinner is served at tables on the cliff. The staff are friendly and eager to please.
The views from Sadeg are the best in the bay.
There are 2 pools which also overlook the bay.
Definitely worth considering staying here.

Room Tip: A room at the front overlooking the bay would be great

I booked to stay at this resort before there was a single review. I always go for position when booking accommodation and we were not disappointed here. This was once a luxury resort and is slowly being done up by the local owners. The little bungalows are beautiful. Ours had the best position because we could see right out over Mushroom bay from our patio. There seemed to be quite a few other guests staying while we were there but we always had the pool to ourselves which was great. The pool has the perfect position looking out over Mushroom Bay. The breakfast is very ordinary and the dinner was not special but the outlook is superb. The hotel organised one of the family to take us on a snorkelling trip which we enjoyed immensely and the price was very reasonable. The snorkelling at Crystal Bay and the Mangroves was the highlight of our trip. We walked over to Dream Beach and also all the way over to Jungut Batu. Some might not enjoy the latter as it is quite a trek on an uneven path which goes quite high above the beach in places. If you are game you can hire scooters or a golf buggy. We didn't have any problems with mosquitos and everything was lovely and clean. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The Bungalow we were staying in definitely had the best view over Mushroom Bay and it was fun to watch the day trippers going on banana boat rides. Our bungalow was attached to another bungalow by a room....obviously designed for a family if needed. The adjoining doors to the room were locked on either side. The only problem is that the doors on either side have louvres so you can actually hear the people in the other bungalow. It will improve things greatly if little bar fridges are installed in the bedrooms and perhaps safes in the future. This didn't affect the quality of our sleep but it's not exactly private! Having said this I would still say again.

Lovely bungalows, in a garden setting, stunning pool. Food average, but lovely staff, and quite quiet spot on a idyllic sandy beach. The hotel once was owned by an Australian perhaps as a honeymoon destination. It's now being slowly restored and opened by locals. Loved the two days we had here, and would recommend it for couples, don't expect drink service at the pool tho, you'll have to ask - perfect if you want to relax and not be hassled. Loved our stay!

We have just returned from Bali staying at 5 different villas/hotels and this was the highlight of our trip. This little resort is tucked away in the corner of Mushroom bay on a powdered sand beach where quietness, rest and relaxation is what its all about. We stayed here for three nights and we could have easily done more. The villa is big and spacious with a lovely outlook over the entrance to mushroom bay. The actual villas are on the top of a small cliff with a few steps down to the beach. There is nothing to do other than Sun yourself relax and unwind. There are water sports such as diving fishing snorkelling. There are aso a couple of basic inland trips all of the above can be booked from the resort. Remembering this is a small remote island off Bali where basic is luxury we found this place romantic, quiet and unspoilt. The sanitary ware is basic but to us this is normal out there, it could do with updating. The food was good basic food and the Indonesian food was fabulous. The setting is outstanding and for us ticked all the boxes, we will definitely return.

Room Tip: The sea views are fantastic, remember the owners are doing the resort up as they go and when they ca...

Having stayed at three different accommodations on Nusa Lembongan, I found this to be best overall.

PROs:
+ prompt reception service at check-in
+ complimentary iced orange juice while you fill out the standard arrival form (although this was the norm at all three places I stayed on the island)
+ clean and very spacious room and bathroom
+ good A/C
+ fast wifi that reached my room (Garden 1)
+ automatic air freshener dispenser in room and bathroom
+ anti-mosquito plug-in device
+ large safe (but it's not bolted to anything)
+ flashlight
+ The included breakfast was probably the most generous: Fried rice with a fried egg on top (or one small-ish banana pancake), fresh fruit, juice, and coffee or tea (which is a pot of tea that makes about 2-3 cups)

CONs:
There were a few hiccups at lunch and dinner at the restaurant - The first day, the Chap Chay (stir fried vegetables with chicken and steamed rice) contained a piece of plastic packaging. The waitress apologized and explained that it probably came from some food wrapper; however, they didn't offer any recompense (free drink, dessert, or knock some percentage off the bill). Same thing happened when my hamburger contained a couple of fish scales. And lastly (most trivially), there was no feta in my Greek Salad. It took talking to two waitstaff before anyone understood what I was saying, but it was finally taken back to the kitchen and some grated feta was sprinkled on top. (Very little though. You would think that after several mistakes like that, they would be more generous, but there isn't that level of attention to detail in the customer service.)

Over all, however, it was a great place to stay.
