We spotted this place walking along the beach and decided to try it for lunch the next day. Nice location, good view and the menu seemed well priced. We took our friends along and were pleased that there were only a few other diners. We chose a table in the middle and it was a great view.
We had just ordered our lunch when it all went straight to hell! In stumbled in a gaggle of high pitched squealing Chinese tourists and parked themselves in the only table that could block our view. They were obviously waiting for the fast boat back to Bali. The ongoing cacophony of squeals and repartee was so loud it was offensive. They were all trying to talk over everyone else. It wasn't just us that was unimpressed, the staff kept on giving us looks of disdain until one of the staff yelled at the top of his voice at them, I assume it was to tell them to tone it down. Nice try feller.
It's not a Chinese thing, I like Chinese people, it could easily have been drunken yobbo aussies or loud mouth Americans. Before you say anything my wife is American and she agrees. All I can say is lucky the food was good, very good. The nasi goreng was great. Everyone else enjoyed their meals . Once the rabble rousers left it was back to paradise. Oh well, I guess we do have to share.
