This is one of the only hotels in Qasigiannguit so you don't have a choice of where to stay. I enjoyed my time there. The room is fine and the location is great for walking around town and seeing some icebergs. It reminded me of my dorm room but with a bathroom.
There is some really aggressive hiking around the town and mountain climbing. Go in June - early August for that. There are also a lot of sled dogs around the town and a fabulous museum run by the most lovely and passionate curators.
Like I've said in my other GL reviews, it is all about expectations. Qas is not on the typical tourist map. I only visited here with an "off the beaten path" tour. You can't expect a western 4 star establishment out here. It is great for what it is though.More
