Owner description: Keila Waterfall is located on the Keila River, Keila-Joa small town, Keila Rural Municipality, Harju County. The waterfall is 6 metres in height and tens of metres in width, being thus the third most powerful waterfall in Estonia following only Narva Waterfall and Jagala Waterfall. There is a path taking you from the park along the riverbed and over two suspension bridges to the waterfall.Interesting to know: - There is a tradition among local people to come to the waterfall on their wedding day, fasten a padlock bringing fortune on the chain bridge and after fastening throw the key into the fast-flowing river.

While staying in Laulasmaa, we had to have something else to do than stand up paddling. So we visited on Keila waterfall, which was really good idea. There is also small hiking trail to walk around to see nice views around the Keila river.
Waterfall itself is not so big but it is pretty and you can get nice pics around of it. There were many local wedding couples taking their wedding pics around the waterfall and bridges.
You can spend couple of hours in there but do not reserve the whole day. It is really worth of dropping by if you stay close enough.

It’s a place to visit any time of the year but specially with high waters. Every time I go visit my family up in north we go here and never regret. You can have lovely walk in a park and take a trip till the sea with nice weather

On our way from Tallinn to Haapsalu, we decided to take scenic route along sea side, so we can see Turisalu Pank(Cliff) and this beautiful little waterfall in Keila-Joe. It's not as big than Valaste Waterfall in Eastern Estonia, but worth of visit if you are going for example nearby Padise Manor or Niitvälja Golf Course. Wear comfy shoes, because rocks can be slippery.

This place is less than an hour drive from Tallinn and is pretty easy to get to with a car. I was our mid-point on our drive to Paldiski where the scenic views and cliffs are so it wasn't a deliberate trip.

It wasn't crowded which was really nice, and you could walk on the stones to get close to the waterfall. We had a little picnic here and I think it's really beautiful. Parking is close to the waterfall itself and is free.

Thank vonnt
