Stayed there overnight during our Czech (Trebic) trip. The location is excellent. Right on the main square, whatever there is to be seen in Trebic is within walking distance. Beautiful room view of the center square.
Besides the location, nothing to recommend about in the hotel. We had specifically asked for a joined double bed since we had our 4 year daughter with us, but were given a room with separate beds. On enquiring if we could get the room changed to one with a joint bed, we were told that none was available, which was a surprise since the hotel was totally empty. Ours was the only car in the parking and we never saw anyone besides us in our one day stay there. So much for customer care :(
There are no windows in the corridors and none of the lights are switched on in the night, so basically you walk out from your room into pitch darkness. There are buttons every 20 mts to switch on the aisle lights, half of them don't work and when one does work, the lights getting "on" are few and far in between. Gave a feel of being a dark haunted place.
The receptionist knew a little bit of English but seemed irritated when we checked in since we had interrupted her flirting with one of the local guys who we saw hanging around almost the whole time we were there.
All in all, if they have a change of management, it can become a pretty good place to stay. In its current state, it seems the owners have accepted the fact that it will rot away at its own pace. Definitely will not recommend anyone staying here. Telc nearby has many much better hotels.
