The rooms are lovely and comfortable, if somewhat overpacked with pictures, statues and other objects of art. It can make you feel like at home. We stayed for one week, in two different rooms and liked both, though one was rather small and we had to move around with caution, affraid that we might brake an ornamental lamp or something. The other one, on the other hand, was very large, had a small refregirator and a microwave oven. Both rooms had tvs and electric kettles (two teabags and sugar provided). Most of the rooms are with private facilities (bath or shower and a toilet). They cost from around 55 to 80 euro (if I remember correctly) per room per night. We paid 68 (room with private facilities), breakfast and taxes included. There are only 11 rooms in the hotel.

There is no lift, but the lady who runs the place makes sure that younger guests stay on the top floors, if only possible. She is a really nice person, though at first she may seem difficult to cope with. She likes order and arranges who should sit where for breakfast.

Breakfast is served in a beautifully decorated room, at a common table.
This means that you may have the opportunity to talk to other people.
Heavy sleepers won't aprreciate the fact that breakfast time is from 7.30 to 9 (8 to 9 in summer).

At Les Bluets you can surf the internet for free, but only within specified hours (don't remember correctly, something like from 7 to 9 and 18 to 21).

The hotel is close to the metro line 2 station Hotel des Monnaies (3 min. walking), 2 stops away from Gare du Midi train station. We used it as a base for excursions to other cities in Belgium.

Aside from the enormous disappointment that is Brussels (there are 100's of nicer cities in Europe), we managed to stay in a hotel that was run by the wicked witch of the west. The hotel itself is cute, if not cluttered and dirty, and it feels like you're staying at someone's house. Too bad the person who's house you're staying at is hateful. As we walked in and my husband began giving her our reservation information she began screaming about how silence is very important. Then when we checked out we asked if we could leave our bags there (train was leaving at 7pm) she told us only until 2pm because the hotel closed from 2pm-6pm. When I asked if we could pick it up after 6pm she began a screaming tirade about how she hates being a security guard for people's baggage. I would definitely recommend staying in another hotel where people appreciate the money you've paid them.
