“Very clean,comfy and quiet”
Reviewed December 14, 2012 via mobile

I cannot really fault the hotel. The rooms, though small, are immaculately clean with comfy beds and good bathrooms and showers. The location is very quiet as is the hotel so you will get a good nights sleep.
The downside is that it is a fair distance from the city center and the 40 minute walk takes you through some pretty dodgy areas. We were 2 fit strong males but a single female would feel very intimidated in these areas, though there is only a threat as it is so run down. Brussels has an ability to totally change from one street to the next and this is apparent in the journey to the center. I would advise females or singles to call a taxi or hop on the metro--- a cab from Grand Place is only about 8 euros. Locally to the hotel is a fair area with a couple of bars and restaurants which are fairly priced and reasonable menus.
All in all a reccomend and I would stay again but at the same price would rather stay in the Ibis central

This hotel is excellent value for money and a good location in order to explore the city centre. Even though the facilities are basic this is still one of the most stylish hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff (once approached) are very helpful and accommodating. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and though not luxurious are very quirky in design and stylish especially considering the price. You may have to walk a bit further to see the main attractions but when you do you get a real sense of Brussels. Overall I would stay again at the end of the day this is amazing quality for hostel prices.

This hotel has small but pleasant (quiet) rooms with excellent beds. All rooms are dedicated to a colour. Pantone is in a decent location very close to a vibrant part of Brussels. Very good budget option in a very expensive city.....I will come back!

The hotel is strongly themed. The first question you are asked is what colour room you want. We found the staff friendly, the room comfortable and clean. We did not have food, so cannot comment on that.

Room Tip: We had a room on the sixth floor (red) with a small patio with a nice view over the city.

My partner and I were on a business trip in Brussels and thought it maybe 'fun' to stay at the Pantone hotel. Particularly as we are in the design business, and use Pantone religiously for our work. Well, on arrival the receptionist (in a hooded sweat top)/reception area and common parts were very disappointing. We almost felt that we had disturbed the receptionist. Once we had checked in we entered the lift to our floor. The lift certainly needed re-painting. Arriving on our floor, the walls were grubby and there was a fabric fixed on the ceiling which had seen better days, as it was stained with brown marks. We had paid extra for an larger double room, but to our dismay, the criteria of a larger room meant that the hotel had put an extra single bed in a corner of the room. The room smelt seriously stuffy, as a result of having a 'deep' shag pile carpet on the floor, which naturally will hold smells! The bathroom was very clean, but the towels which I presume were supposed to be white were grey! There were no tea, coffee, or water facilities in the room. The television was 'locked' on one channel and the remote control for the television did not work. On calling reception, asking for the possibility of having 2 cups of tea sent up, and replacing the remote control, I was asked to 'come and get the teas from reception and bring the remote with me' ! To be honest I was a bit annoyed as we had had a pretty long working day. Anyway, after arriving at reception, the receptionist changed the batteries, and asked me which tea I would like. After the first 2 requests for tea, which he did not have, I just took anything which was tea! I was not offered a tray or any help with 2 hot cups of water and a remote control. Back in the room, the remote did not work and the tv was still on one channel. Next morning on our check out, a new receptionist, who was very rude and unhelpful. Also seemed surprised that we did not know where the metro was. Basically, I'm really fed up with these so called 'boutique' hotels as some of them should be named 'bare minimum', with regards to service and courtesy. The thing with having a concept is that it should be consistant and maintain an attention to detail to keep it fresh.
I think It's time for this hotel to do a bit more research in improving their brand. Try New York or L A, where the concept originated. Pantone 'No Tone'!

Room Tip: Basically, do not have a room facing the front, as there is a garden square which is frequented by n...

Rooms were very small. For a business traveler free wifi is good, but no iron or coffee making facilities. Breakfast was a good typical French standard with eggs, bacon and mushrooms. Rooms are looking a little tired, and the corridor to my room needs repainting. The lift is the worse bit, it takes an age to arrive during the morning and early evening. Staff were friendly (not overly)... I've been in Belgium and France now for around a week and can see that receptionists enjoy their long conversations on the phone rather than attending to a guest needing an answer of something else.... maybe this is the 'new' way of customer service? Overall, it was fine for a two night stopover. Plenty of restaurants and local bars around. For the more international business traveler, maybe the Mecure up the road would suit better. For the tourist, this place is fine.

DearMartin C,
Thank you very much for your review and for your precious advice.
Your notes have further encouraged us to take the phones away from the reception and let the phone conversations occur behind the screens. We will aim to do this during next year, once we have expanded the hotel.
Should you be back with us next year, we therefore hope to be able to provide you with even better service!

me and my husband travelled to belgium in august 2010. Usually we don't book any hotel prior to our arrival but i always have a list of reccomended hotels that i have read about in Tripadvisor And this hotel was on my list. The hotel Is in a good area but far form city centre but this didn't really matter for us because we had a rented car. The rooms were clean and also the bathroom but the rooms are tiny!
It's a good hotel with average price and nice design.
So it's good for a short stay.
parking after 18:00 is free. ( the hotel desn't have a parking lot).
