I first stayed at this guesthouse a few years ago to attend a job interview in the city. As I was totally unfamiliar with Brussels I chose Ursule purely for the fact that it looked pretty and seemed easy enough to get to from the Eurostar terminus. It is a choice that I was very happy with and was always in the back of my mind when I subsequently moved to Brussels and needed to recommend accommodation to others. Since moving back to the UK I am now in a job that requires me to work in Brussels regularly and I was fortunate enough to spend three nights back that the guesthouse in February with a colleague. Sofie and Kim (and new dog Seraphina!) were as welcoming as before and the rooms even nicer than I remember. The furnishings are exactly to my taste; painted floors, soft wall colours and beautiful bed linen. The area is fantastic; Chatelain is a short walk away as is Flagey. The bus and tram links are excellent (I know a lot of visitors are nervous to stay in a district that doesn't have a metro stop - please rethink! The areas around Louise are fantastic and far less 'touristy') and the neighbourhood feels safe to walk around at night. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful and the owners are kind, friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating. I will be back very soon and hope to make this my official residence when staying in Brussels for work.
