The Renaissance Brussels Hotel is one of my favorite hotels in Brussel. The location is not so great for tourists but great for members of the EU and for business. I find the staff to be very friendly and helpful. As an Elite Member I always feel welcomed. The rooms are large, good lighting and nice beds. The executive lounge is small but does offer a good breakfast, The roomservice is very good and the prices are very reasonable. Parking is available next door. All together a nice place to stay!

The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are large and clean. The bathroom is well equipped. Bathrobe and slippers provided. From the parking of the hotel you access directly to the hotel. The parking is free on weekends and often included in the roomrate. Great breakfast buffet. Indoor pool and wellness area.

good hotel and comfortable. Would be four star if it had wifi....That should be standard and free everywhere these days, especially in business cities like horrendously expensive Brussels. It is between a three and four star hotel. Some of it needs a cosmetic update/ redecorating but it is clean and the staff were generally good and efficient. I would book it again. It is close enough to centre but if you like staying out late around the grand place get a metro card or pre book return taxi as taxis can be difficult to hail from that area. Local hotels do not like it if you hang around their taxi stands...

Room Tip: therre is significant noise in the early morning from rubbish removal lorries so if you like to have...

Talk about taking your game to the top, the BEST.

Service: Excellent and still finding ways to make it better. Genuine Staffs (not pretentious), good communication skills and technique (not over-bearing), attentive and good listeners.

Professionalism: Everyone looks sharp, crisp suits, very good and they know it. Always smiling and ready to help (Xavier and his colleagues are always ready to help)

Room: New bed (cool), soft bedsheet (good on the skin). As a frequent business traveller, after 7 hours of flying i slept like a baby.

Room Tip: Rooms facing Rue du Parnasse

The hotel is nice and the rooms are decorated in a tasty way with all possible comfort. OK, showering in the bathtub is not my thing, though all the rest is fine.

What is quite shocking (and already confirmed in several other reviews here), is that WIFI is a real disaster. The free WIFI requires minutes to refresh a page, the paid (at 19.9 Euro per 24h...) is still very very slow. If you need to be online, this should not be your hotel. I spent also 30 minutes with the iBahn hotline who could not do anything. They also proposed to try with a connect code which is available at the reception though this was also not the solution. Wired solution was not working either

It is quite surprised that a 5 star hotel in the heart of Brussels European district is not capable of providing decent WIFI. I am just back from a trip to Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos and in each hotel or restaurant, WIFI is fast, reliable and free. Not in a what should be a top hotel in Brussels.

As I am very dependent on the WIFI connection, I checked out earlier and change hotels. I will not be back.

Room Tip: If internet connection is not an issue for you, this hotel is absolutely fine. Though this is not m...

Stayed here from Dec 28-30 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Arrived from the Eurostar station then took a short 8 Euro taxi ride to the hotel. Though we arrived before the official check in time no fuss was made and we were provided our room.. Overall, the room was comfortable and cosy. However, wifi connection was very inconsistent and slow.

Breakfast was great and included a wide American and continental style selection, though a bit pricey at 25 Euros. Suggest purchasing a room rate that includes breakfast to avoid this expense.

Previous reviews have noted the somewhat remote location. This is true though my wife and I comfortably walked from the hotel to Grand Place and passed along several sites along the way, such as he royal palace and several museums. The great thing is that the walk towards the Grand Place is 'downhill' and there are several spots where you can see some impressive sweeping vistas of downtown that is great for photo taking. In the evening we just took the taxi back to the hotel (8 Euros) since we had accumulated some shopping.

Dining wise there are very few options near the hotel so we ate both evenings at the hotel's Parnasse Bistro. Seems like most hotel guests did the same as we saw the same faces on both evenings. The food was top notch though expect to pay at least 50 Euros for a 2-course dinner for two.

Basically, if you are looking for a quiet and convenience 'base' to explore Brussels then this hotel is for you. If you want to step out directly into the hustle and bustle of Brussels downtown then it is not for you.
