We arrived in Brussels around 12noon in the day check in wasnt till 3pm but we had booked on booking.com(which are excellent) and put a note that we wanted early check in. The girl on reception when we arrived said she couldnt do anything only we could leave our bags at reception for a few hours. After travelling all night bus then flight then another bus and taxi all we wanted to do is get changed and relax. When we eventually came back we got our room we had booked a double room one bed on the website we went up to a room that was a twin. Went down to reception same girl on and she wouldnt give in at all said thats what I booked even thought I had my booking confirmation and it said double one bed. So eventually I gave up wasnt going to win with her. Room was nice very big seperate toilet to the shower room also had a bath and 2 sinks. Room was cleaned every day and cleaning staff were lovely. All other staff in hotel we so nice and made us feel welcome except for one dutch receptionist. Bar in hotel is nice and quite but food is crazy prices go to the centre and eat for cheaper.
Hotel is located in a great area ever close to the underground and there is a nice bakey close by and also a shop for food. Plenty of expensive clothing shop close by and a great mac shop for the makeup lovers. Very safe area. Pick up a map from reception to find where tourist office is then go there and get a proper map which is 50c you get an extremely good map for that price also pick up and underground. If you by a ticket for underground it will last you an hour and its only like €1.80.
We arrived at Brussels South Charleroi Airport and got off plane went out the door to the right and there was a kiosk selling tickets for Brussels City Shuttle it leaves every 30 minutes which is very handy. It takes about 30 - 40 minutes all depends on traffic to get to Brussels Midi Station. We didnt know it at the time but you can get an metro to Station Louise which is very close to the hotel we got a taxi instead.

Room Tip: Our room was 409 it was a twin room if you want a double dont get this unsure where the doubles are

Very smart hotel, rooms very nice, close to a wide variety of shops and easy travel into the centre of Brussels.
For the time of year we were there the hotel was extremely hot and the air-conditioning very intermittent.
After seeing the prices of the food in the restaurant on the first night(also the food was not that good) , we decided to eat elsewhere for the remainder of the trip. With easy access to the centre of Brussels it was not difficult to find somewhere to eat and drink.
Beware, during the first morning at breakfast in the restaurant I had my handbag stolen off the back of the chair. The reception staff at the hotel were very unhelpful, would not let us see the CCTV and did not once after that first morning apologise.

Great stay would surely recommend for people to stay. Near the heart of the city and large rooms and very good breakfast

First off, the hotel front desk is so understaffed it's crazy - we waited 10 m to check in, found we had the wrong room and had to got back to the desk to get attention since the dont bother answering the phone. They did put us in the right room after that. We also paid way too much to stay there (300+dollars) to have to walk 20 minutes to anything exciting and pay 10 euros for Internet access.

Granted, the rooms are very nice and the staff try to be helpful, but overall this place does not provide good value.

On the second night a plumbing join next to our bathtub started releasing sewer gas. Having learned from the previous slow response from the front desk previously, we didn't bother asking for help. Instead we ran water until the pipes were full so no gas could leak up.

We had some difficulties during booking process, through e-bookers, but on arrival all was well. Very comfortable rooms; nice position, great little bar (the king) around the back; some rooms a little noisy in morning when bins are emptied.

Room Tip: Have a room at the front
