“Great place with authentic Belgian kitchen”
Reviewed January 8, 2013

Found this restaurant via tripadvisor and have been there now twice in six weeks. Very nice and friendly atmosphere and service is helpful and quick leaves nothing to deserve.
Food is excellent, classics of Belgian kitchen like "croquettes", very good homemade "paté", americain (raw beef tatare) of filets of sole "Ostendaise"...
All together a place where you leave always happy :-)

“Typical Belgian Cuisine”

Super food including saddle of hare and mussels. Beautiful decor - murals depicting the early days of motoring and wonderful Mucha pictures. Staff very attentive and helpful. A great experience.

“Wonderful food, well priced”
Reviewed November 20, 2012

My partner and I stayed in Brussels over a weekend in November 2012 and although it's very easy to find restaurants in and around the Grand Place I urge you to look further afield, use tripadvisor and guide books and you will find little gems like Le Bugatti.

The restaurant is in the Ixelles district and close to tram links. We didn't book but I think it is probably advisable over a weekend as we were last "walk-in" customers they seemed to take, after that it was all reservations.

The staff were helpful and spoke English, coupled with our broken French we got by quite well. The menu is quite large with plenty of options, and expect French/Belgium cuisine.

We eat carpaccio of beef and mussels to start with, both were cooked to perfection. The mussels were so tender and fresh that it put the ones we eat in a UK Cafe Rouge a month or so ago, to shame!

For mains my partner had a beautifully cooked saddle of hare which was not overcooked at all and very tender. I eat pheasant, which was good although did not have the same "game" taste as I have come to expect from eating them from pheasant shoots in the UK, but nevertheless it was really nice.

This restaurant is not in the tourist district, and because of that its definitely worth visiting, being a well priced authentic restaurant that serves the food superbly.

“Nice atmosphere and great food”
Reviewed October 18, 2012 via mobile

We found this restaurant via Tripadvisor and everything we read about it is true (all positives)! The restaurant is a bit outside the city centre, but worthwile going. A taxi from the train station will take you there in 10 minutes (about 12-14 euro). Great choice of food, wine and beer. Friendly people and a cosy place to have dinner. Great Belgium dishes and all the dishes we ordered were great. Also the proce is nice! We will definitely go back here. Just make sure you book a table!
