“Escape from reality ....”
Reviewed April 1, 2012

Our little family enjoyed the most relaxing break away in a gorgeous part of the world known as 'Tree Elle'.
The passion the owners have for the industry shines through in every aspect of the property.

We stayed in the deluxe Barnhouse and our needs were met in everyway.
The extra little thoughful touches were a rare treat given the numerous venues we have stayed at over the years. From the home grown items in the fridge to the fresh bread set on timer in the bread machine for our arrival.
The gardens were a blissful escape from reality and there is nothing more relaxing than enjoying breakfast on the verandah overlooking the gardens.

Our little son Hamish loved the freedom of the gardens and as parents we were delighted the surroundings were ever so safe for children.

Kim and Elle could not do enough to ensure our stay was magical! We simply did not want to leave. (looking forward to meeting Peter next time we visit, we hope!!)

Tree Elle was a life changing experience for us, we cannot wait to return later in the year and have told everyone and anyone we know just how amazing this location is.
Looking forward to enjoying a massage in the spa area when it is back up and running!

Keep up the AMAZING work Kim, Peter and Elle ....... - The Kirby Family

Room Tip: If the Barnhouse is available for the dates you are seeking, spoil yourself and book for as long as...

We had the most amazing relaxing time spending 5nights at Tree Elle Retreat in the loft for our first ever family Xmas getaway and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquill enviroment that is peaceful and beautiful all rolled into one.
Unfortunately for us our trip coincided with the take over of Tree Elle by Kim and Peter so we didn't get to try out the coffee coop or the spa room which were under renovation at that time but will definately look at going back to try out all the extra bonuses that are on offer at this wonderful place.
While there we were there we got to meet Kim and Elle, what wonderful welcoming people. We even got a tour of the Barn House which was absolutely stunning.
Highly recommended by all my family and can't wait to get back for another chilled out holiday.

Room Tip: Either loft or barnhouse... Both are as wonderful as eachother. Maybe with small children loft... o...

Thank Sharon. I hope the Cox family will be back sooner rather than later. We have a new coffee machine in the Coffee Coop and the Spa and Massage Room is ready for your next visit. It was an absolute delight meeting you all. I hope you come and join us for another holiday soon.

My husband, daughters and son-in-law stayed at Tree Elle Retreat in December last year and enjoyed a wonderful and relaxed weekend together. The accommodation suited us very well - it was very clean, well equipped and the 'welcome to Tree Elle' treats in the fridge appreciated. We loved wandering in the gardens and thought we would return, with a group of friends, to enjoy the Barn House for another celebration down the track.

During the summer of 2009, we stayed at the Barn House in Tree Elle Retreat for a couple of nights and had a great time. We decided to go back last month and stayed at the Barn House for 6 nights this time. Tree Elle did not disappoint and our stay this time was every bit as enjoyable as the previous time.

The Barn House is well appointed, comfortable & homely. It has room for 8 guests and was perfect for our families (6 adults and 2 children). Both the house and the garden have been well maintained and very clean. The open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area was ideal for family interaction. Our families had lots of fun here, including playing games & preparing meals with fresh produce (vegies, fruits, herbs etc) from the garden right at our door step.

It was nice to see the immaculately landscaped garden dotted with autumn colours this time, quite different to the summer foliage we saw last year. There were several vegetable patches in the landscaped garden, all cleverly screened by low hedging.

The included breakfast provision was generous and featured fresh eggs (from the in-house chooks), cereal selection, fruits, tea/coffee etc. There was a bread maker and pre-mix bread flour was provided. We loved the freshly baked bread (not to mention its aroma!) every morning for breakfast. Elle was a gracious host and there was no problem requesting additional provisions which we did on a number of occasions.

The children loved roving the spacious & interestingly garden as well as visiting the animals that were kept in compounds at the edge of the garden. Elle was great with the children. She was more than happy to show and talk to them about the various animals in the property.

Tree Elle Retreat is well located in a peaceful & relaxing environment. It was so nice to wake up in the morning to the sound of various birds, including the kookaburras. The Barn House is well furnished for a comfortable & enjoyable stay. We have stayed in other places in the area that were cheaper but they were not of the same quality & standard. We had a great time at Tree Elle and hope to be back again.

We recently stayed here in the Winter season and dispite the weather had a fantastic time, I cannot stress enough how lovely the two storey modern houses are, beautifully furnished and very homely. It is more expensive than a lot of accomodation in the area however it is of a very high standard. Our 3 year old loved feeding the sheep in the morning that came to our back door and were quite vociferous until placated with bread or fruit! Elle was a wonderful host and took our daughter to feed the animals and collect the eggs and veggies with her. I would thoroughly recommend for a short stay

We stayed at Tree Elle for 5 nights in April 2009. We rented the 4 bedroom barn house which is nicely decorated and roomy. One would expect a little more luxury for the highly priced rent. The barn house is in a meadow in which supposedly animals roam freely. We did not see any animals except the farm animals kept in the caged area. The owner is overzealous and immediately upon our arrival gave our children a lecture which door to use and to wash their feet before they entering the house. We also needed to clean the house before leaving and the promised home cooked breakfast meant that the ingredients were provided but that we had to bake our own bread. We were provided with 20 eggs and 1 liter of milk to last for the week...
We believe that there are other properties in Denmark / Walpole that provide better value. The area itself is nice and quiet.
