“Comfy countryside hide-away”
Reviewed July 2, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Willow Cottage is a lovely hide-away situated a bit outside of Framlingham. The cottage is comfortably furnished and has everything you will need for an enjoyable stay including a great shower. The stairs are steep and the floor upstairs is not exactly flat so if you have mobility difficulties it would not be for you. The garden is lovely, full of wildlife to watch and comes with a patio set for relaxing outside. Beyond is a meadow and beyond that a pond/lake. It would be a great place for dogs and children. I would recommend this cottage if you are happy to be down a narrow lane away from town and can climb steep stairs. The owner is very welcoming and helpful.

“a place to make memories”
Reviewed April 3, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

We stayed for a long weekend at the start of Spring. It was sunny and wildlife was busy coming to life. The garden was perfect for the kids and dogs, although an inquisitive dog can get out of the enclosed garden! but the road and immediate area is so quiet it hardly mattered. The extended garden and lake are beautiful and amazing for children to safely explore.
The cottage is really well equipped, everything is of a good standard, the downstairs steam shower the roll top bath in the ensuite. The comfortable beds and the large feather sofa. All complete with very helpful owners who even left us a Victoria Sponge!!
Location is perfect, all ofSuffolk is within easy reach.

“Step back in time with modern comforts.”
Reviewed January 22, 2017 for a stay in December 2016

Situated a short drive from Framlingham, set in a tranquil location but without being isolated. Ours was a Christmas visit and we could not have been more satisfied with the welcoming accommodation which had been decorated seasonally.....including a tree..There was even a cake waiting to be eaten.
Even though it was often frosty outside, the inside was warm as toast with central heating and a well stock log burner. Upstairs was particularly characterful with beams and floors commensurate with the properties age.
Our week passed all too quickly with visits from our family and exploring the surrounding villages. We love Suffolk and this visit only helped to reinforce this.
Hats off to Penny and her husband who were most welcoming and helpful.

“Wonderful get away from it all cottage.”
Reviewed December 9, 2016 for a stay in December 2016

We stayed at Willow Cottage for a long weekend break. The cottage was beautifully presented and was warm and cosy with a very efficient woodburner and an endless supply of logs. Everything that we needed was in the cottage and was of a very high standard. As a fly fisherman, the lake was of particular interest to me and it was a real pleasure to wander down in the early morning mist and catch a couple of trout before breakfast. We will definitely return.
