My husband and I stayed at the Villa Lavaux in late August and will never forget our experience there! The owners, Armand and Lael are so incredibly warm and welcoming, we were actually sad when we had to leave them! They were so helpful each day with offering suggestions to help plan our days, and also made sure we were able to get to the train station each day and knew the schedules. It was so great to come to breakfast each day to the beautiful scenery surrounding the house! The views from the Villa Lavaux are amazing, with Lake Geneva right outside your balcony! There are several small villages around to visit, and the train station is also very close. You can hike through the vineyards, or take a short train trip to one of the nearby towns, including Lausanne and Vevey. While staying in Lavaux, the owners recommended that we visit the Farmer's Market in Vevey on a Sat morning to do some wine tasting. It was one of the best days of our trip! They also made other helpful recommendations, and during our stay we were able to take day trips to Gruyeres, a chocolate factory, Vevey, and Zermatt to see the Matterhorn!
Villa Lavaux is extremely clean, and feels very private, even though it is a smaller B&B. The views alone are worth the trip, but the company of Lael and Armand makes it even better!
