We were in Switzerland and wanted to have an excellent meal with cheval (horse) and got a referral to this tiny restaurant in the little village of Tavel above Montreux.
We had bit of a hard time finding it as there was no visible sign but we did.
The service was fast and friendly. The meal was excellent. Starting with warm bread and a simple house salad. The main dish was Filet de cheval (the higher-end cut) with your choice of sauce (we had a peppercorn and a garlic sauce), root veggies and french fries. It was perfectly cooked. Rare on the inside but not cold and grilled on the outside. It cut like butter and was delicious. When we raved to the waitress how good it was she said: "If you like that, you should try the beef". And we will when we go back.
