Timberstone Bed and Breakfast
Ranked #1 of 1 Clee Stanton B&B and Inns
Reviewed July 16, 2013

This was a 86th Birthday celebration for my mother and myself and my two sisters took her away for the weekend. Our first visit to Timberstone, all communication with Tracy beforehand and during the booking was clear and easy. They made a special trip back from their sons sports day to book us in at 2.30pm which was lovely even though I protested Sports Day was more important! I shared a family room with my sister in the old part of the house, this was very spacious and had everything we needed. My mother and sister had the newer rooms at the other end of the house and were also pleased, all the rooms are a bit quirky which we loved! All had both baths and showers. The food for dinner and for breakfast was perfect, difficult to judge which was better, evening meal or the breakfast in the end we called a drawer! The gardens and view are so relaxing we really didn't want to go anywhere else. Tracy and Alex are very obliging, very friendly and both have a good sense of humour which made the stay even more relaxing! Ludlow was beautiful for a day out! We will definitely be returning due the the peacefulness of the B&B and it's beautiful location, the food, the near proximity to Ludlow, oh and the comfortable beds! I'm not mentioning anything to do with cheese & biscuits, private joke between me and Tracy! ;o) Thank you for the perfect stay and for being so obliging!

Room Tip: Clay had the balcony, it is over the dining area so a bit noisier maybe in the evening but fab views...

Only stayed one night with wife + 5 year old daughter before a wedding in Ludlow, but really great B&B. Others have said it all - a beautiful house, sumptuous room, great hosts (Alex and Tracey), fantastic breakfast(my daughter would like me to stress that point please) and such a pleasure all round.

If we go back to area for holiday etc, and we would like to, we would go back to Timberstone like a shot........

Strongly recommended

Loved staying at timberstone, the surrounding clee hills gave vast impressive views and the rolling hills Shropshire countryside was nature at it's best. The b and b was great the kids loved seeing the cows out of the oak room windows everyday and the breakfast and dinner we had there was great quality the local fruit, vegetables and meat used enhanced our trip making the stay more special. Highly recommend this place for a family weekend break away from the hustle and bustle.

We are just back from a lovely weekend stay at this bed and breakfast, from stepping out of the car on Friday a little stressed after a long week at work to leaving at lunch time today our stay was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble, we had 4 rooms as it was a family weekend and Alex and Tracey made it a brilliant time away. We had a wonderful meal on the Friday night ( you must have an evening meal here is lovey foor and very well presented) and 2 smashing breakfasts. The room we stayed in was fresh and nice and clean. Perfect location for children to be children and run about and explore safely, my little girl loved her time away. I would recommend this place to anyone. Having such lovely people running it aswell makes all the difference nothing was too much trouble. Our batteries are re charged and if you looking for somewhere a bit special this is it.

What an absolute gem! It is rare to come across such a place. A beautiful house lovingly restored, you can almost feel the love, care and attention ooze out of the buildings. The result is a calm tranquil environment. We stayed in the family room, very spacious with comfy beds and sumptuous quilts, the best night sleep we have all had in ages! However, what makes this place really special is the attention to detail that the hosts, Tracy and Alex pay. Nothing is too much trouble. You have use of a spacious sitting/dining room where we watched our 5 year old daughter play and run around the garden to her hearts content with Tracy and Alex's polite and friendly two sons. Tracy provided a beautiful meal for us in a relaxed environment, which allowed us to unwind and our 5 year old daughter to be involved without the hassle of seeking out restaurants that can accommodate children. The food served ( and wine if required! ) is beautiful. The breakfast choice is also fabulous, quality produce and wonderfully prepared. It is close to Ludlow and are there are a number of attractions close by, not to mention the local countryside. We wish we could have stayed longer and sampled more of the food, countryside and treatments on offer. We are already planning to return, the options of feeling so relaxed and yet be so pampered is a rarity. In the words of our 5 year old " it was awesome!" Thank-you Tracy, Alex and your two delightful boys.

This bed and breakfast was excellent, great people Tracy and Alex were lovely and very welcoming. The food was delicious we wanted to eat it all but just couldn't manage to fit it all in! It's in a very peaceful, beautiful setting just what we needed for a break away from the hum drum that life can be at times. I would very much recommend this bed and breakfast. Thank you both very much for making our weekend so enjoyable. Keep up the great work that you both do. We also met a lovely couple who were staying there as well which was nice( great to meet you both if you read this, you know who you are!!). Ludlow is a lovely little place with lots of little shops to explore, we also went to the Ludlow food centre which was great i would recommend that as well to anybody who loves food! thanks again best wishes S & J

Room Tip: we had a lovely room with a balcony which would be fantastic in the summer

We have just got back from a lovely weekend break where we stayed at Timberstone B&B.

Although B&B doesn't really do it justice to be honest - we had a great evening meal there also and a fantastic selection of food was on offer - also a great selection of beers, wines and cocktails!

We had our 19 month old daughter with us and she loved it - she had a special dinner slot at 6pm and Alex and Tracey were very welcoming; everything went according to plan. Such a nice relaxing evening on Saturday, no rush and very flexible with our evening meal whilst we got our daughter to sleep.

Breakfast was superb, again a great variety of choices and enough food to fill the hungriest person up.

The other guests staying were also very friendly and for the first time in ages we feel like we've had a really relaxing weekend.

Can't wait to go back soon.

Thanks Alex and Tracey!
