“Excellent hotel with great food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 21, 2013

My husband and I stayed for one night during last Christmas and we truly enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is fairly new, very clean, great appointed rooms with good size and beautiful bathrooms. As we stayed here in the winter, we only used the inside Spa facilities, which we found a bit small. There is a tunnel where you can go to the Erzsebet bath (entrance price included), however, as everything was closed outside, this bath was very crowded, there was not enough chairs to sit down and relax. The buffet style restaurant is truly amazing and the food quality is excellent. Many traditional Hungarian dishes to try from, salades, cold dishes, nice cakes, all available. The breakfast buffet had a great variety of food to choose from as well. Only for the food we would return, as it was such a good quality and variety both for dinner and breakfast! While the hotel is amazing and we were satisfied with everything, next time, we would probably return in the summer where both the inside and the many nice outside swimming pools can be utilised. This hotel is highly recommended for relaxation and for a great dining experience!

Hotel Colosseum is a very new hotel, if I remember well it opened its doors in 2011. I have stayed only one night, but I was very satisfied. The room rate included breakfast, the use of the hotel's own Spa and the use of the Erzsebet bath. The hotel is not very big, so it is not crowded. The rooms are big and clean. The breakfast, as generally in Hungarian hotels is very good. The Erzsebet bath can be very crowded in the summer, and if you want to get some privacy, you can go inside the hotel's Spa and relax in a very silent place.

We stayed here 5 nights with my wife and my son. We chose this hotel because of the good feedbacks we heard about it and to be honest they all proved to be true! The hotel is quite new with perfectly equipped and well sized rooms, perfect for a holiday! The price of the rooms are reasonable and include the full usage of the hotels bath and free entrance to Szent Erzsébet bath, which is perfect for children as well as for adults in summertime and winter as well. Staff is helpful and very polite, the restaurant is excellent! Szeged is in 15 minutes distance with car, where you can find anything you would need, it's a very nice city. I really recommend this hotel if you would like to spend your holiday with perfect relaxation in a beautiful surrounding! I can't wait to return to this hotel!

Me and my family (wife and three sons 9, 9 and 12 years old) stayed here 5 nights in July 2012. The receptionists and service was just great, they managed three extra beds in a de luxe room. All staff also speak english, very appreciated. The room vas very clean and luxury, we could not ask for more. The restaurant and food quality was also excellent, as a matter if fact - this is the best restaurant we ever visited in Hungary! Best of all: great value for money. We'll be back :-)

We stayed here for 4 nights. We chose it beacuse of the proximity of the Erzsébet bath, that is very child friendly. Our 3 kids loved every minute of our stay. Staff was brilliant and they all did their best and everyone we have come accross said hello, which is not very common in Hungarian hotels! Food is fine, buffetlike and even at peak times, quite well organised. Prices are great and if you are looking for relaxing times away from the daily stress, dont look any further!

A szállodát mindenkinek ajánlom, normál árai mellett magas minőséget nyújt.

We stayed 1 day in the hotel complex. facilities are good, complex is clear, well maintained.
Prices are fair. But you have to find exchange office (if the one withing hotel doesn't work) since they accept only forints.
Also, everything is on Hungarian so you cant even be sure what to eat. They do not have any pictures on the menu, so if you want to eat in the restaurant you will have to find that one English - speaking waiter and to try to understand what is the meal offer.
But, have to admit that people there are kind and friendly.
