“Best choice for summer holidays at Pelion”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

We are a family of four and we stayed at a maisonettes. Positives: beautiful location (in the forest, 50 metres away from the amazing beach Papa Nero), good and friendly service, spacious room in two levels, cocomat mattresses, elegant French country decoration, fireplace, small kitchenette, relaxing atmosphere.
Negatives: far away from Athens, no restaurant, no reception or lounge area, no breakfast, no swimming pool, very small bathroom, extremely small shower cabin.
We would return for sure, because it is the most convenient and stylish accommodation for summer holidays at Mount Pelion.

Exceptional hotel, optimum price-quality balance. Studios of high taste, light couloured modern cottage styled and clean as you rarely can get in a hotel. The houses are located in a beautyful property overlooking the Aegean sea. The amazing 'Papa Nero' beach is at a five minutes walk through a path, but there is also a variety of wonderful beaches in proximity (15-20' drive), all of them framed by the unique forests of the mountain Pilio. The owners are very charming and discrete and they'll make sure you have everything you need and even more. A place to return at with no doubt.

I can only say the best for this place, and the owners as well.

We had booked a different room at Mouresi village for 14 nights, but when we arrived we saw that the room was nothing like we expected. So, we began searching, and we were lucky enough to discover ''Vergopoulos''. the owners welcomed us (and our small canary as well).
The room we stayed was big, had 2 more beds on the attick, a spacious living room, the bathroom was a bit small, and a balcony/yard of our own with table/chairs/umbrella etc. The bed is reeeeeeally comfortable, the surroundings are amazing, we were amongst all kinds of trees, no cars, no noise, just plain nature. For breakfast there is coffee/butter/jam and nice cookies.

But the best part was the path that led to the beach. Papa Nero is an amazing beach, and we couldn't have enough of it -we were lucky cause the weather was very good (when it's windy the waves get wild). On that beach you can find 2 restaurants and a coffee-bar, so everything is close. There is no mini market though, you have to either walk 15-20min. to the next beach (ag. ioannis), or take the car and in 5 min. you ll find a mini market and a bakery. In general, a car is almost mandatory when visiting pelion, there are so many beaches and villages to visit. Definetely visit Tsagarada square, the one with the 1000years old plane tree.

We hope to be able and visit Vergopoulos again next summer, for more days. For us it was an ideal vacation place to be.

Α remarkable hotel.
The location is fantastic.
It is Very very clean.
The rooms are made with taste.
At home I do not sleep so comfortably. The mattress are cocomat.
The bathroom is spotless and the towels smell great. It's located near the beach, so close you can be there in 2 min by foot.

A really nice complex of small rooms-houses in a stuning location, with running water (a small stream) that passes through the complex -we went there on February, with lots of rain, that's why the stream was so beautiful-. Houses were very clean, with a very careful and beautiful layout; beds were out of this world, we didn't want to get up... As for breakfast there was a plate with cakes, butter, marmelade and instant coffee every day. We stayed there for 3 days and we were very pleased. Overall we will most certainly come back to see the beautiful Pelion at spring, eat at the very beautiful tavern of Vaggelis and stay once again at Vergopoulos Oliveyard Cottages.

It's the first time we spent our vacation at one of your apartments and we are very satisfied with it. From the moment we entered to the house we were impressed with how much effort and care was put into every detail, from interesting decorations on the walls, tables and beds, to the delicious cookies and sweets as a welcome gift, to the clean, cozy bathroom with soft towels which smell great. Your kindness and great amount of attention paid to what we might need made us fell really comfortable staying here. Thank you for giving us a very enjoyable holiday, we'll make sure to let our friends know about this beautiful apartment, and you keep up the great work!

It was a pleasure being in this wonderful place. Its the quality and luxurious simplicity of the house, the magic nature of Pelion and the sea that makes us want to return soon to this earthly paradise. The beautiful and thoughtful residences, the location on the beach, smiling Mrs Marianna and the hospitality offered by Mr. Andrew also offer assistance to the beautiful and memorable holiday. Vergopoulos Oliveyard Cottages combines the beauty of the mountainous landscape and nature with endless views of the Aegean sea. The most appropriate point on the map for rejuvenation and relaxation. The room decor was lovely, exuding a feeling of warmth and luxury at very affordable price. The breakfast with homemade traditional dishes under the shade of the trees was delicious. Those are the reasons that we will revisit and we will send people we love. Thank you.
