“Perfection!”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

My husband and I had a wonderful time staying at Dairy Barns, it was exactly what we needed and it exceeded our expectations for sure. We stayed in the Barn Owl suite which was decorated to a high standard, was warm, spacious and felt luxurious. Having breakfast in our suite - which was always delicious and huge! - was such a luxury. Hannah, her Mum and all the staff are wonderful and very helpful.

We stayed out of season in early November so everywhere was pretty quiet which was good however we did struggle to find companies running activities. If you go out of season as we did, Fineway boat hire in Wroxham is open year round and was reasonably priced so try them if you fancy sailing on the Broads, and Sea Palling BIke Hire is also open year round, you just need to call them and they'll even drop the bikes off and collect them.

Because of the time if year we did find it harder than usual to find places to go in the evening as it was pitch black by 4pm, but we can recommend The Greyhound pub in HIckley for simple food with a nice atmosphere. The only slight downside to staying in Hickley is that you have to drive everywhere at night as walking or cycling is impossible in the lanes when it's dark, but that's a small price to pay for beautiful surroundings and wonderful hospitality. We will be back!

Room Tip: Choose a suite, it's worth the extra few pounds for the luxury.

We were bought a night at the Dairy Barns as a gift by our children and we will defo be back. Although the time of year (October) is not the best time of year to appreciate the beautiful surroundings the accommodation itself is more than enough to make you feel you are somewhere special.
From the complimentary carrot cake awaiting us in our lovely and spacious room to the 1st class breakfast before we left it was all perfect.
I highly recommend a visit.
The owners are very knowledgable about the area and can point you in the direction of various ways to entertan yourself out and about.

Room Tip: Our room did not have a bath (shower only) so you may want to specify when booking.

My husband and I had a great time at the Dairy Barns. We stayed in the Lavender room which was spacious and well equipped with plenty of cupboard space, tea, coffee, biscuits etc, lovely shower and wi-fi also in the room. We were welcomed by Hannah (the owner) on our arrival who showed us to our room and made us tea and scones. The breakfasts were really lovely, everything from cereal to a full English. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely visit again if in the area.

We stayed 2 nights in the swallows nest and it was a pleasure. The suite is spacious, well decorated and has a wonderful bathroom. It felt luxurious to have our delicious breakfast brought to our room and it was nice to be welcomed with tea and cake. Great location near the sandy beach at Sea Palling and the broads and would highly recommend.

We stayed here for a long weekend as it was my brothers wedding. We had no complaints about our room (Dahlia Room), it was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The breakfast was very ample, with a choice of cereals, toast and a full English. All of which was very nice as we tried the majority of the options.
The venue was perfect for a wedding as it was well decorated and quirky. All the staff at the Dairy Barn were very friendly and accommodating to everybody's needs.
We would thoroughly recommend a trip to the Dairy Barns or to consider it as a venue if planning a wedding.
Thank You to Hannah and all the staff at the Dairy Barns.

We stayed on a Sunday night at the end of September and Hannah and her Mum could not be more welcoming if they tried. After being shown to our lovely room (spotless, well decorated and full of quirky, nice touches) Hannah brought us fresh milk for our pot of tea and home made cake. The full English was was freshly cooked for the time we requested and consisted of local produce and there was plenty of fruit, yoghurt, cereal and local preserve on offer too. They made a real effort to come and talk to all of the tables at breakfast and offered advice on things to do that day. I would thoroughly recommend a stay at Dairy Barns!

Since we stayed at the B&B a couple of months ago we decided to do a return trip this time with doggie in tow to stay at Cowmans Cottage.

Im not sure who loved it more us or our doggie, Jessie. From the moment she got out of the car she was running round having a lovely time.

The cottage was immaculate and everything - every little detail had been thought of from the milk in the glass bottle in the fridge to the lemon drizzle cake on the side for us humans and for little doggies there was also some treats.

Sadly the weather was not with us but we had lovely days sitting in the lounge or in the garden under the shelter of the porch just relaxing.

I have told everyone i know how lovely it was and i hope we can get back soon!

P.S OMG the bed was to die for!!
