This mountain railway is above and beyond - a great experience - but as a previous reviewer suggests 'make sure it is a clear day' or you may find yourself in cloud wondering what all the fuss is about and wondering if it was worth it [the cost is a significant 70€]. Taking the train either halfway up or down is a great idea as the views all along the pathways and track are simply amazing, at times your sense of perspective is completely challenged!! A warning to the 'steam train purists' however, this train is driven by hydraulics - the chug, chug is reassuring, but not real!! For real steam locomotives see the BOB railway that operates along the Brienzee-Interlaken-Lauterbrunnen route from time to time in the Summer.
