Me and my husband and another couple travelled last week to swizerland and one of our Destinations was interlaken. We didn't sleep in interlaken and rather preffered to sleep in the village wilderwil ( 10 minutes by car).
I have read some reviews here in tripadvisor and wrote down the adress and it it turned to be a perfect choice in Wilderswil .
We arrived to Berghof hotel at noon and the check-in was quick. we asked to see the rooms before checking in and the Lady at the reception was extremely nice. when i told here that one of the rooms had a smell, she immidaitely looked for another one.
The rooms we slept in had a balcony with an outstanding view!! It felt like a dream. the views are awsome!! The bathroom was spotless, though it was a small room but it didn't bother us at all!!
I highly reccommend this hotel for its view, cleaniness. spacious lobby!! and a spacious dining room with variety of food and a perfect view..

We had a really nice time spending 4 days touring the area - mountains and lakes were really spectacular. To look out of one's window and see the Eiger, Monch, and Jungfrau peaks was worth the price of the rooms. The accommodations were comfortable and clean, if not plush. The breakfasts were excellent with a wide choice of items that were well prepared. We ate one dinner in the restaurant which was very nice but a touch expensive. The staff was very helpful in assisting us in planning day trips.

Room Tip: Ask for the side that faces the peaks - the upper floors offer the best views.

The Hotel Berghof is located on a hill with an outstanding view of the Eiger and the Brienz Lake. The hotel is modern and well maintained. The balconyin our room had a panaramic view of the Eiger and several farms in the area. The hotel is spotless. The town, Wilderwil has several excellent restaurants. We recommend the Luna Piccante; it is a Restaurant and Pizzeria. Don't be put off by the term Pizzeria; they have a fine menu of Italian dishes. The owner is from the former Yugoslavian coast. Get there early or you will have to wait...it's packed! Hotel Berghof has a super breakfast, and offers a huge self service selection of traditional morning dishes. The evening meal is fine dining for sure but you have to sign-up earlier in the day and your dining menu is limited to 2 items. For example, you can chose a salmon or pork. Everything is prepared in an outstanding manner just limited. The staff is very helpful and the service is superior. We would certainly stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the Eiger on a upper floor; a view to die for!!!

Firstly what a lovely view! Then the food is top class, The staff are polite, helpful and happy! We had a family trip to see the Swiss Alps for a one week holiday. The location of the hotel is a 10 minute walk from the railway station, from which trains are frequent and very punctual, clean and efficient.

The hotel has a nice family feel and is lovely and clean. We made the mistake of eating out elsewhere for the first few days and then discovered the hotel restaurant. The food is top class and we would highly recommend it.

Rooms are comfortable, well kept and clean.

We were well advised about buying travel passes to the mountains for cable cars and trains etc. The ticket passes are available at the reception, which saves time at the stations and cable cars. The help in planning trips was invaluable with guide maps etc being made available at reception.

Whilst travelling to Switzerland from the UK, unfortunately my son became ill and suffered fairly bad food poisoning. This meant that he was unable to leave his room all week. The hotel staff were absolutely brilliant including arranging doctors and transport, speaking to the doctors on our behalf on the telephone and ensuring that the right food was regularly delivered to my sons room according to the doctors instruction. The staff additionally went the extra mile on even assisting in that they made out of hours enquiries on a Sunday to re arrange train tickets for a faster train back to Geneva Airport.

We will particularly fondly remember the lovely young lady at reception called Valerie who helped us so much in a crisis, that words cannot describe! Look out for her she is an absolute gem! her help and support made us comfortable enough to leave my son at the hotel and enabled us to enjoy the mountain experience which we would otherwise have missed, with absolute peace of mind.

We had no issues as far as language barriers, the staff we dealt with all spoke good english.

We would highly recommend this hotel and salute the whole staff who were without exception brilliant.

Room Tip: Rooms on the higher floors have balconies with a superb view facing the moutains (south facing). Ask for a room with a view, you will not regret it!

This was our first visit to Switzerland and having heard horror stories about the cost of accommodation and food we were prepared for the worst. This was not the case with the Hotel Berghof. This hotel offers excellent service at a realistic price. The staff were always accommodating and willing to help without being over attentive and fussy.
The family room we booked was in the chalet with views towards Interlaken on one side and from the balcony towards the Jungfrau and Eiger on the other with the sound of cow bells in the background, perfect. The room itself was very clean, well decorated and spacious enough for four.
The breakfast buffet was excellent with enough choice of good quality food to cater for all of our needs (the hot chocolate was a particular hit with the children). We also had a couple of meals in the restaurant in the evenings both of which were very good, with a particularly excellent steak on our first night.
All in all we could not have asked for a better place to stay, charming, quiet, excellent service and facilities (including free wifi throughout the hotel), good food and all at a reasonable price. If we ever return to Switzerland, I would not hesitate to book here again.
