Great lunch but the atmosphere and customer service is what really sets this restaurant apart from the others. Couldn't recommend it enough.

We ate here, as a three generation family, while waiting for the time for our son, his wife, and their children to go and check in for the last Ski Train.

The menu is quite short, but there were choices for fish eaters as well as meat freaks, and for our young grandchildren. My Gluten Free wife chose the fish, which was served with an interesting sauce (saffron and something else I cannot remember), my son had a pan of melted reblochon to drip over his potatoes and charcuterie. Daughter in law and I had the slow roasted shoulder of Scottish lamb on a bed of pearl barley. All excellent, and the children ate their chicken emince and chips quite contentedly.

Dessert was excellent, for those who still had room (one grandchild had ice cream, the other a sort of half[cooked chocolate brownie),

Three kir, two bottles of Coca Cola, and a decent biological red from the Plateau de Larzac. €230. Very good value!

Bonjour M
Cordialement

The cuisine was of a high standard and is the best restaurant in town. I cannot believe I had not been before. Don’t miss it if you are in Moutiers. Good food, great service, so very clean and priced reasonably. Enjoy!

On a rainy day we decided not to ski and do a little exploring, so we ventured to Moûtiers for lunch. This restaurant got great reviews so we thought we’d try it. We didn’t have a reservation but luckily (so we thought) we got a table for 2. Right from the start we felt it was a mistake. The restaurant was very busy, mainly with locals, for whom the Madame could not do enough. We, on the other hand, felt like a nuisance. I understand French up to a point, but all the ‘hurried’ communication was only in French (no attempt to speak French slowly) so we mistakenly were brought fizzy water instead of still and a half bottle of wine instead of a half litre carafe. The Madame was extremely unhappy that somehow we had ordered the wrong things, which I might add, we had not!
We chose the Menu du Jour which was served by one of the chefs. All the food was delicious however not once did the Madame ask us if everything was ok, and instead spent much time happily conversing with her local guests.
All in all not a pleasant experience. We were made to feel most unwelcome. I would not recommend this restaurant, and although we ski in this area every year, we will never return.

Bonjour Madame

We have just had a great meal in a truly authentic regional restaurant. Despite our very poor French and the restraint staff having limited English, we managed well. The food was excellent from the limited but high quality selection, wines were well matched and available by the glass. We only just got in and a number of travellers who hadn’t booked were turned away. Overall, a very pleasant surprise.
