Owner description: Damien and Eva Tscharke have created a unique space with their German style cellar door build, home to Tscharke Estate grown and crafted wines and Tscharke Barossa Pottery. A must visit when in the Barossa, not only for the architectural elegance of the cellar door building but also to gain an insight into sustainable grape growing practices and an introduction to alternate emerging Mediterranean varieties. A tasting wouldn't be complete without sampling a regional classic or two. Open Monday to Sunday 10am to 5pm Closed Christmas Day, New Years Day and Good Friday

From the road you wouldn't look twice, drive around to the cellar door and you won't be sorry.the winery was recommended by a winemaker, now we know why.Great Marananga Shiraz ,infact there wasn't a wine we didn't like .Upstairs is a pottery gallery, some really classy pieces.

This is the sort of winery I love to visit. Small and friendly. Great wines and some eclectic art made by the winemaker as well a pottery made by his wife.
On top of that some great wines even allowing you to taste what has not yet been bottled.

Found this one by accident whilst driving along the Seppeltsfield Road. This winery tends to focus on specialty varieties. When they do a full bodied red, however, they do it very well - the Barrossa Grounds Collection should not be missed.

Fantastic service from very enthusiastic staff in a beautiful setting.

They sell pottery too if that's your thing.

We visited Tasharke Place a few weeks ago. This is an amazing small winery with a husband making the wine and his wife making all the pottery. We sat outside where we had a private tasting overlooking the vineyards and water feature. It is a beautiful spot to enjoy the afternoon. The wines were fantastic and they had quite a few different varities. Ask to go down and check out the hall in the basement and the amazing door Damien built.

First visit here. Another winery referred us and we were not disappointed. A very personalised tasting and there was a lot of knowledge in what had gone into making the wines. Well worth dropping in.
