Owner description: At Two Hands Wines we offer our guests a unique Cellar Door experience through a structured but relaxed tasting with our knowledgeable and friendly team. Situated in the tiny hamlet of Marananga in the Barossa Valley, our Cellar Door is open for tastings and sales from 10am to 5pm, seven days a week (except Good Friday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day). Our Cellar Door experience is focused on offering visitors an intimate, informative tasting of the wines throughout our portfolio, from the Picture Series through to our Flagship Series wines. With the ‘Showroom Only’ wines and the latest offerings from the Twelftree range of Grenaches, there is always something new to sample. A modest fee of $10 is charged when participating in a structured tasting, and after being hosted through their tasting experience, guests will be given a complimentary tasting glass, printed with the Two Hands logo and packaged in a bespoke canister to take away with them as a memento of their visit to our Cellar Door. We also offer more exclusive experiences such as our Vineyard Experiences and bespoke tours.

Two Hands might be a smaller cellar door than the big name vineyards but just one of the best cellar door experiences we had in the Barossa over the five days. We chose our visit to be during the week when its a bit quieter. Paul greeted us warmly and after a brief discussion invited us to sit on the back deck and conduct a tasting. We tried the gorgeous premium wines from the garden series, the Sophie and the Belle stood out for us, hard choice. We then tasted both the Coach House Block (single vineyard Shiraz) and the flagship Ares Shiraz, both superb wines. It was a real pleasure to meet the highly regarded head wine maker Matt Wenk during our tasting, a lovely bonus. We left Two Hands vineyard with the knowledge of finding/tasting wonderful wines and a box of wines under our belt. This is a must do cellar door for us. Can't wait to drink the wines at home!

Dropped in here by chance after seeing a road sign pointing towards their cellar door and recognised it from wines we had at home. Very glad we did to. A very welcoming friendly staff and room when we arrived with a fire in the corner and plenty of space at the bar or on the seating. Plenty of wines for us to try, starting with their picture series that we were familiar with moving right up to their premium single vinyard wines. Having never really thought much about the impacts that factors like this make in creating a wine, it was a real pleasure to drink the different styles and be able to notice the difference. The staff were more than happy to explain and chat about the process as we progressed. A very enjoyable experince.

We didnt get to try their food but what we saw of it, looked excellent.

Worth a visit

Excellent wine, great tasting room and you’ll walk away fulfilled and some wine for home. One of our favorite stops in Barossa.

As mentioned in other comments, you walk in and are told that your wine experience will last about 45 minutes (if you want the full experience). You then get seated at a table and get to relax and taste the wines in your own space and time. We ended up staying for about 2-3 hours because it was just gorgeous. We ordered a platter and they put a pause on the tastings so we could enjoy the platter with a glass of wine. We were even offered several tastings that weren't part of the normal list. Nothing better than trying $160+ bottles of wine. We made it through the whole tasting list plus more and it didn't bother us one bit that we had minimal time to try other wineries because coming here was just amazing!
