We stayed at Benesse House which is in the museum - a unique experience. The museum has an amazing Bruce Nauman, David Hockney, Jennifer Bartlett, Sugimoto photos, and more. Not all are the highest examples but some are and the combination of the building with the art is super. The views of the inland sea add to the experience. The museum's restaurant is not good sadly and the cafe has only light snacks but it is a nice place to sit and have a drink. There is also a nice library with interesting reference books worth a relaxing browse.
