Gihei is a wagashi store: they sell only Japanese "candy". No idea why there's a lunch set menu picture up there.
They're famous for something called "usukawa manju" (hence the name), which is kind of like a spherical pancake filled with red bean paste. These are good, don't get me wrong. But, given the choice, what I really come here for are the "karinto manju". Basically, they're a brown sugar pancake wrapped around red bean paste and then fried. One of my favorite types of wagashi, and quite unusual (this is one of the few places I know of that sells them. They sell them one-by-one, though, and sometimes sell out. Come early!
