The hotel is by the seaside with wonderful view of the ocean and sunset. Guest rooms are spacious with big balcony. Quiet and peaceful environment for a good sleep. The onsen has been renovated with modern design. Food and service are both excellent in the restaurant. Staff are polite and helpful. Although the hotel is still under renovation, efforts has been made to minimize disturbance to guests. Hope to visit again when renovation has all been done.

Newly renovated so old reviews don't do hotel justice. We stayed as family of 4. Rooms are tight but clean & modern. The hotel has a patisseries onsite so fresh bread, croissants, coffee available & delicious. The hotel has free onsen, massage chair, underwater aquarium, karaoke room, VR golf, fussball table, kimono & slippers. In house massages also very reasonably priced. Friendly staff & some English speaking. Walk 5mins to beach and 10m walk into town. Beach is clean and patrolled. For the price, I would say this is the best hotel option in this area.

Nice room with seaside view(able to see sunset from my room) and friendly staff. Definitely worth the price! I spend less than 600 myr for one night stay. Really like their buffet style breakfast and their outdoor onsen, it is soooo cool!!! They finished renovation 2 weeks before my stay. However it is hard to find transport after 7.30pm.

Stay in this hotel for a night. It is currently under renovation, which it seriously need.

The service staff is very polite & helpful although they don't speak good English.

The room is Japanese standard neat & clean. We had a triple room with sea view. The 3 beds are super single size so it is very comfortable & big by Japanese standard.

A bit disappointed with the onsen. The path to the onsen at B1 is under renovation so you could see construction work & equipments along the way.

I picked this hotel for its beautiful seaview from the room and the unique onsen/hot spring experience, and I was not disappointed! It felt wonderful and natural to admire the sunset and the sea while enjoying the onsen in a 100-year-old plum barrel! The room was very spacious with a large tatami area and living room (and bathroom, of course). Dinner was Japanese style and was delicious. Breakfast was in buffet style with a variety of choices.
When we checked out, towing 2 large luggages, the staff helped us to pull the burden to the bus stop before I thought of asking. I really appreciate their customer-oriented attitude.
I will definitely come again if I visit Shirahama in the future!
