Moved by the curiosity to see the place where a recent movie was filmed, I went there with two friends with no high expectations, to my surprise, I found a very charm place. Hard to reach the place since no trains run nearby and there is less than frequent bus services, the only way to go there was by a rental car. Small town with a breathtaking scenery, ideal place for diving.
Gorinkan is the highest building near the coast, old looking but well maintained. This Japanese style hotel (Ryokan) is very charming. Rooms are spacious with modern private toilet. It has two public baths (onsen) small but comfortable. Food is amazing! Dinner and breakfast served by the owner. Fresh fish from the area, and plenty of vegetables.
Since we went out of season and in the middle of the working week, we were the only guests, and the Gorinkan's owner made us feel at home joining us during breakfast.
I highly recommend this hotel for its hospitality, and I'm sure I will go back in a near future.More
