Location: Excellent, literally outside of Izu-Atagawa Station, so you can get around the areas very conveniently. There is an express train going directly to Tokyo. I do have to point out tho, altho it will link to a JR line, Izu-Atagawa itself is not a JR station, and the closest JR station is about 32 mins away. So if you are staying in the areas for a couple of days, local subway is already quite efficient. If you are planning to get JR pass, make sure to space out these days so you don't waste it.
Staff: Very warm, welcoming, attentive and provide great service.
Onsen: There are ten types of onsens, eight are complimentary along with your stay, and out of those, there are two that take reservation, feels pretty much like a private onsen.
Food: ご馳走です！More than you can eat! Local cuisines you must not miss. They also cater different menu each day so you will always be amazed what's going to be on the table. The staff will leads you to private dining rooms.
Minor downside... The only mirror in my room is the small one in the bathroom, enough to do make-ups but not big enough for me to do my kitsuke and check clothes coordination. Hotel WiFi signal is very weak in the private dining areas.More
