Having stayed at a number of Prince hotels over time, these are Japanese versions of western hotels. This one features a great Spa facility next door - including a infinity hot pool on the third floor, sauna, hot tubs, wellness rooms, stone rooms etc.
At ground level there is a dated water park (only open in summer when it is very busy). They also have a bowling alley etc onsite.
The rooms are simply, clean and tidy. A bit more roomy than traditional Japanese business hotels as this is classed as a 'resort'.
Restaurant food is good. We opted for a package which included Room, Spa access and dinner - all for under US$250 a night in the off season. Property was still busy as they host business conferences.
The meal was surprisingly good with a buffet style salad and Entrée selection. The mains included a variety of steaks, beef, chicken, pork and seafood. We split a 700g Tomahawk steak, so good value overall.
There is not much in the immediate area, so you will need a car to get to the attractions (30-40 minutes away).
But overall a pleasant stay - the Spa was not busy so it was very relaxing.More
