Wonderful Resort next to the beautiful sea.

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Sep 26, 2018via mobile
We were so surprised when we arrived at the hotel! First of all it was so much bigger and open aired than we expected! Next the beach and water front was so beautiful! And last but not least if you went right outside the hotel there were so many Okinawan restaurants! The beach area was really beautiful and we stayed on the beach all day! Drinking Orion beer under our parasol. When we got hungry we went in the hotel and had some yummy taco rice. The gift shops are vast with Okinawan trinkets and apparel. I highly recommend Hotel Moon beach.

Great location positioned around a nice beach. however, if you wish to use the beach with towels, umbrella, lounges for the day it will cost $AU50!! per day. take your own towels. infinity pool very pleasant, but very hard plastic chairs - also indoor training pool. Rooms very small for the price, unless you pay for the larger rooms which appear very spacious and quite expensive. lounge area pleasant at end of the day, with timber deck area for sunset, but the music is repeated and repeated like lift background ---- apart from a singer some nights. you just need to cover your tattoos, if not, then this is not the hotel or area for you in Japan. Local small corner store sells plenty of food to take away, also lots of restaurants within a 5 min walk. hotel restaurant is a very large area with buffet .. Easy to get a local bus from Naha to bustop very close to hotel and then book a coach for return to airport direct from hotel. Disappointing stay.

Room tip: pay extra for larger room

Great location, right on the beach. Only left the hotel for evening meals - eating in the hotel restaurant was expensive but lots of other places within really easy reach.
Weather was just perfect for some r&r after a long flight and allowed us to recharge our batteries ahead of the next stage of our journey.
Stayed for 6 days. Hotel in need of a bit of updating but it didn’t spoil our stay at all.
Staff were really friendly.

Room tip: Ask for a sea view

I really do like the hotel in general. But prospective guests need to be told that tattoos will make you feel like a second class guest. I understand that the Japanese people have a long, complex relationship with tattoo culture. But if you are expecting international guests to stay at your establishment, the prohibition against visible tattoos needs to be explicit prior to allowing someone to book a room. I have a full sleeve tattoo and I am not interested in walking around the hotel in long sleeves and not being able to take advantage of other amenities, e.g. The spa

the hotel is so old, older then what i expected even i've know it's an old hotel. outline of the hotel is bad decide. and they have stairs everywhere, few steps here and few there. and steps and slops for people need assistant are together. no handle to separate them. you can be easily trip and fall, not safe at all. And the hotel is dark. Can't believe i've upgrade the room to western Japanese and the washroom worse then on the cruise ship. the bathroom in the room is small, old and showing is bad. But the location of the hotel is excellent. they should total knock down the hotel and rebuild it. one thing i really cannot accept is I'm the guest of the hotel. I paid for the room. if i can use the pool and other facility, why do i have to pay for the beach lounge chair? I understand you charge the walk-in, but for the guest who paid for the room and living in your hotel, you should not pay for the beach lounge chair. why not charge the chair beside the pool? and also, you should provide pool towel for guest. I go a lot of places, this is the only hotel has to charge their own guest pool towel and beach lounge chair. it is ridiculous to me. It's only happen in your hotel. I guess the Sheraton or other hotels beside you won't do that stupid thing. I definitely will not come back again. And your pool, this is the only pool my kids ever feel boring!

Went with close friends last June. This hotel has its private beach which allows you do multiple water activities. lounge/infinity pool over looking the ocean, very nice! The only thing I don’t like about this hotel is the bed is too small and room looks outdated. And I think the price is slightly at the higher side for what it offers.
