Turned up without a booking and staff went out of their way to squeeze us into the corner. Set over two levels the steakhouse is warm, has cool vibe and the food was excellent. Standard burgers, steak but also has fairly wide menu.
Suitable for all types but I would recommend booking.

I visited a year ago and came back again this year. My friends and I all ordered steaks for dinner and they were exceptional. I had the tenderloin and it was very tender. The onion sauce that comes with the steaks is very tasty. We also shared a bowl of chips, which were nice because they are hand made. I would definitely recommend eating here.

It's a western-style steakhouse and if that's what you want, then go. The service was quick, friendly, helpful and efficient, the steaks were good quality (American Angus when we were there) and cooked as requested, the salad was fresh and the Argentine malbec not too bad. It's cozy, at least downstairs, though as others have said the table adjacent the door is to be avoided if possible. Prices were fair for what we got.

If you're a vegetarian, why go to a steakhouse? If you order your steak according to weight, why criticise the portion size? If it's not in any way Japanese, why would that be any more a problem than eating at a Japanese restaurant in Sydney? Jeez there's some miserable people writing reviews on this site.

Japanese interpretation of a western steakhouse; very far off the mark. Stingy portions that are reminiscent of a TV dinner. The fare is more similar to what you would get at a roadside diner in the US.

Unremarkable but reasonable prices and barely palatable.

Huge room for improvement. Hire a foreign chef. You can do a lot better.

It was our first night in Nozawa Onsen and we didn’t have a reservation anywhere.... But the Corner Steakhouse fitted us in early. Luckily they could tell me that they could do GF with just a steak and plain rice as well as some vegetables. We got a great meal, steak was cooked well and service was prompt. We did have to put up with 8 very rowdy Australian teenagers at the table next to us, but you can’t blame the restaurant for that!!!
