Found this little restaurant whilst strolling along the street one night in Nozawa Onsen.
Only seats about 12 people, has a staff of 2 - food is brilliant, and reasonably priced.
You can sit at one of the few tables, or sit and the counter and watch the chef at work.
As well as yakatori we tried the octopus sashimi which was fresh and tasty.
Food was so good & the service so friendly that we went back a second time a few days later, but only managed to get a seat as it was very early in the evening.
Saw a line of people outside every other time we went past in the evening . Well worth the wait I'm sure. Definitely revisit next time we're in town.
