Visited the Vaynol Arms after hearing rave reviews from locals who had recently visited following a recent change of owners. We were greeted with a warm welcome although we apparently had not booked a table. We had apparently telephoned the Vaynol Arms at Nant Peris who had informed us that they did not take bookings on Friday and Saturdays and we could just turn up. Karen informed us that they were often confused with the other Vaynol Arms and managed to find us a table. We did not partake of the starter choices, and went for the lamb and hunters chicken. The lamb was succulent and melted in the mouth. The chicken was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of cheese and bacon. The wife could not manage a sweet, but it went for the banofee pie which was delicious. The beer and wine were also top notch.
We will definitely be back.
