We ate here both nights on our recent stay - as it was conveniently located. We understand that the landlords changed recently (about 3 weeks ago), and that the new landlord was acting (perhaps temporarily) as the chef. The food was good quality pub food - nothing dramatic, but no complaints either. The slow cooked shoulder of lamb was excellent, and a large portion.
Only negative was the selection of on-tap beers - but that's what you get from a brewery-tied pub.
