OK if you want to grap a bite while you are bowling, but not my thing to listen to bowling balls while I'm trying to have an enjoyable meal.
The food was not very good.

Lockeport is an out of the way coastal community in a more remote part of the south shore of Nova Scotia. This restaurant is run by a retired lawyer and his wife. They offer three daily specials, meat fish and other. When we ate there in late December we tried a variety of courses and entrees. All were excellent, particularly the lamb dish on offer that day. This is not a cheap restaurant and the surroundings (in an unused bowling alley) are certainly not upscale, but the food and really friendly reception and service provided an unusually good experience. Highly recommended if you are in the area. Not necessarily open every day in the winter.

This was our first visit to the Parrot's Pins. We arrived at the tail end of lunch and were greeted by the owners. I ordered the delicious burger, without bun as I cannot eat gluten. It arrived to my surprise with a non-gluten bun that was whipped up on the spot and was made with corn cake. As the burger was served to me, I was told "You can't have a burger without a bun". This extra touch was appreciated and was simply scrumptious.

The ambiance is funky, the food is yummy and the service is friendly. Highly recommneded!

We keep coming back to "Parrot's Pins" again and again. The food does not rival other Nova Scotian restaurants - it blows them out of the water! One of our joys in life is going to the best restaurants and to know that this restaurant is here in Lockeport is a dream come true!

We are locals but have eaten in many Cafe’s both in Canada and Europe. We have yet to find one that could come up to the "Parrots Pins Cafe". It boggles my mind as to how Keith can come up with so many different dishes and right behind him comes Shelley with a dessert you can`t resist. It is the only place we`ve ever eaten, that starts with a smile, have a meal presented to you that makes you wonder if you should eat it now or admire it for awhile; however we can assure you the aroma will win out and you will delve into it and then enjoy a delicious dessert. We would recommend the "Parrot`s Pins Cafe" to anybody interested in fine dining that compares to none.
