We had a fantastic two-week break in the Apartment Elicriso at the Agriturismo Dragoncello which is a very special place with a fabulous view. The owners Marco and Laura could not be more helpful - from the platter of local meats on arrival to bringing us jugs of homemade elderflower cordial and lemonade or iced coffee on a hot afternoon to taking us on a walk through a spectacular, deserted gorge (which we could never have found alone), advising us what to see in the area and cooking for us in their own restaurant - one is made to feel more a friend than a guest. Our children had the best holiday ever - climbing trees, setting up camp in the garden, making a fire and then cooking their own dinner on it, swimming and generally running wild with Rebecca and Sebastiano (the hosts' children) and the children of other guests too. Television was only mentioned once in two weeks and that was just to comment on the fact that there wasn't one. They both cried when we left! There is lots to see and do in the region - the house is short drive from the Monte Sibillini National park with its spectacular scenery and there are many interesting villages and towns nearby too.
