We spent 10 days at The Amanoi after a round trip in Vietnam.
When we arrived we were a bit unlucky with the weather, strong wind, overcast and rain.
So in the beginning we were not so sure about our choice. After two days the weather started to improve and our ideas about the resort as well.
From the beginning the staff and management were great and extremely helpful and understanding.
So the last 8 days were just fantastic.
The resort is build in the most Beautifull surroundings. Wild, rocky, mountainous, sea, views. You can't believe it.
The rooms are just hundred percent good. We got an upgrade to a villa with private pool. It felt as if you owned your own summer house.

The main building a bit dark and maybe to big, but it did not harm out overall enthusiasm.

Food is excellent and the chef will make almost everything customised if you would like something else for a change.

Our advise would be to stay at least 4 days plus to really get to understand the uniqueness of this place.
We will definitely come back.

Spectacular, breathtaking, stunning, amazing... I miss superlatives to talk about Amanoi.
We recently spent a few days in this new born Aman, a group we absolutely love, and we have to say Amanoi has impressed us even more than all the other 10 Aman properties we experienced.

Imagine a sensational piece of architecture in the middle of Nui Cha National Park, at 1h30 scenic drive from Cam Rah airport. Imagine a kind of secluded paradise where your body and mind will find the most perfect balance ever. Imagine a resort where you will be treated as a royalty by an Aman family working with heart and Imagine again an exceptional design created by the very talented and famous Jean Michel Gathy... But this is even much more: incredible sea views, delicious (and I'm very picky about it) food, gorgeous Spa with highly qualified therapists and for sure, this rare warm atmosphere which will make you fully happy and maybe a bit sad the day you will have to leave the resort.

To be honest, I've had a doubt to stay in a pretty recent property just opened a few months ago (september 2013) but everything is working extremely well here and you can't even have the feeling this is a brand new property in term of service because you will realize quickly the Amanoi family is so nice and professional maybe not still perfect with their english and still a bit shy, hesitating to interact with guests but soon they will know exactly how to be.

Our Pavilion, an Ocean Pool Pavilion, was wonderfully decorated and something we always love with Aman is they choose the highest quality of materials to build and design their resorts. All pavilions at Amanoi are similar and offer a massive interior space with a fabulous ensuite bathtub and a great shower opening on a wood terrace. The difference comes with the view (lake or ocean but both are very beautiful actually) and if you want to have a private pool or not. We truly enjoyed to have a private pool facing the ocean and let's say it was so nice to deep in this very large pool (about 15 meters length) and I'm not agree with people saying water was too cold cause I think temperature was ideal. Bed was very comfortable and we truly loved to spend time in this pavilion where we had the impression to be at home far from home. Brilliant...

As I said, this Aman can be proud of having the best food ever. We had a private BBQ by the Clift pool which was the best we had in our life. Delicious very fresh seafood served in style and with this unbeatable Aman touch which makes all the difference. Breakfast are also absolutely great with viennoiseries changing everyday as well as the exquisite jams and don't miss the Seafood platter at the main restaurant which is pretty huge and so so so yummy with a divine Lemon butter sauce with parsley. With no compare, the very best food we had in a resort.

We truly enjoyed the space of this resort built on about 40 ha giving the possibility to have a nice walk in the little pathways and breath the essences of the vegetation around. A superb Spa, a complete and well designed beach club with lap pool, an other pool on the clift offering dramatic views on the Ocean and two tennis courts complete the facilities of this resort which is now our favorite in the world.

So don't hesitate any second and run to Amanoi where you will discover a secret treasure, a place you will never want to leave and maybe the most beautiful of all the Amans. EXCEPTIONNAL in all aspects. Thank you so much to Susan the GM, Bagiartha her Assistant and all the Noi family for giving us this moment we will never forget.

We stayed for five nights in a pool villa and overall had a great time. As usual with Aman hotels the public areas were special and the villas wonderful. My wife especially liked the bath, which in our unit had a feeling of being in the wild. The hotel itself is pretty isolated. the beach and pools were great. We especially liked the infinity pool near the main building, which was generally empty. We ate mostly Vietnamese food and really loved all of it. My wife especially liked the local breakfast choices. The only critical comment would be to avoid the cheeseburger. Try the stuffed grape leaves instead for lunch! Aside from beach activities there is not a lot to do. We did the cultural tour which was a nice day out, though not spectacular. They take you to a Cham tower(very interesting), central market(stinky, but fun), winery(my gosh the wine is undrinkable), pottery factory, weaving factory, etc. long 90 minute drive down a dusty road to get there. Our guide did a good job in helping us get a feel for life in vietnam. Still after that one trip we thought lets just stay by the sea for the rest of the time. Really Amanoi is perfect if you are looking for a great beach holiday, but not if you want cultural events...

For a recently opened and remote location there are some hiccups that are acknowledged, but this property is gorgeous, the architecture amazing, and the staff, courteous and responsive.

We were prepared for the worst when we heard there would be a 90 minute drive, but it seemed more like an hour to 45 minutes from Cam Ranh airport to Amanoi. We were greeted warmly by Ketut Bagiartha (Bagi), the assistant manager and also by Ron, both of whom were truly amazing. Bagi has been with many other Aman properties before and you can see it. Warm, knowledgeable, inviting, and very kind. Ron has joined Aman from other properties, but is nonetheless eager to please and obviously very proud of the property as he took his time to show us not only my own room, but also the entire property, including future areas to be developed.

Now, this is not for the person who prefers city-life or for hustle and bustle. This is all about escaping and relaxing. I stayed for 4 nights and found it adequate to familiarize myself with the grounds, sample the delicious entrees from the kitchen (which were a bit large, honestly and prevented me from being able to sample more items on the menu), partake in spa treatments, and do some local hiking.

The architecture is lovely. Like other Aman properties, it seems to nestle itself into the environment, creating the least obtrusive footprint possible. My upgraded (thanks to Virtuoso booking) room had an unbelievable view of the ocean, dipping pool, large bathroom with shower that exited to the pool and huge combined sleeping and living area. Minimalist design and elegant, I found the room to be very tranquil and comforting. Gifts were thoughtfully placed each night for us. One night an offering of local tea, another a gift of chocolates from the chef. The second day we met Susan who was also quite nice and responsive. I got the feeling they really wanted feedback from guests familiar with other Aman experiences to fold this property in with the others in their portfolio. It's honestly neat to see a property so young and growing. You could smell the newness of the rooms and facilities. I loved that.

Some things that could be improved. Honestly? Smaller portions. The gift shop needs overhauled. with local interest items. I would recommend selling some of the lovely pottery that can be found in rooms, along with coasters and local things that can be taken home to help not only remember the trip and Vietnam, but also to remember Amanoi in particular. I could have done without the television in the room, but fear that might be a necessary evil of those who find it difficult to truly unwind and disconnect. How about an Amanoi welcome drink?

The wi-fi worked perfectly and was fast. Although I never lost power while I was there, thoughtful backup plans were well laid out in the event that should happen. Reality meets architectural design was taking place in the windy main hall, where several lovely glass lamp shades had fallen due to the ferocious winds. This will all be figured out in due time and likely over the next year will become a very different place and its growing pains will be less apparent.

I would go back in a heartbeat, but would wait some time. Being somewhat of an Aman fan (Junkie), I deliberately wanted to go while this Aman was in its infancy just to see it unfolding. Thanks to Susan for following up with me with a thoughtful email. Thanks to Bagi for his uncompromising commitment to excellent customer service, and thank you very much to Ron for being so incredibly personable and fun. Ron and Bagi are huge assets to the existing management team. The other staff is warm and goes out of their way to please. Their English is not at all flawless, and if this is off-putting to you, and you are expecting to feel like you are in an American Holiday Inn, this is certainly not the place for you.

Room Tip: Ocean view rooms are lovely!

This is a real gem! We have stayed there for 3 nights and were truly amazed by the beauty of the hotel and the surrounding settings. This hotel gives you a real 'jungle' feeling with all the luxury that one could imagine. The views from every room are spectacular and breathtaking. We stayed in the beach villa where the butler was really professional in accommodating all our needs. Also the food done by the Belgian Chef was Michelin star quality. We are going back for sure!!!
