One of the most fun and enjoyable experiences I've had in a long time. We were given a quick, "how to stand up" lesson before setting us loose in the water. Our guides were helpful, attentive, and made the whole experience one to remember. I will say that our group was a very active group in their young 30's and this might not be everyone but if you enjoy, skiing, snowboarding, yoga, you'll have a great time. Most importantly, don't be the one in your group that skips and experiences major FOMO when you're friends finish.

Was lucky to have the previous school I used not be able to take me out surfing again. The people and facility at this surf school was so great! Wish I had found them sooner and I could have got a few more sessions in! Will be using them again when I come back to panama again.

The staff was great and very nice. We had a great time learning to surf with them on both days. One at Palamar and the other at Rio Mar. Would recommend them for sure.

My partner and I both took surf lessons at Panama Surf School. Nicole and Justin were great. The tides and water depth were hit and miss as it is a pretty dramatic differences between low and high tides. We both got up on our boards and that was a lot of fun. They may need a few more boards though so that there is enough for both lessons and rentals

We had been in touch prior to visiting Panama with Flor and she had emailed us with a nice offer to surf and even to rent a reasonably priced hotel or maybe hostel room to be able to surf with her. I had wanted to book it but unfortunately she couldn't accept credit cards and only paypal (which I don't use) or a bank transfer, which was way too complicated to do. It's hard to want to do this from overseas and unfortunately meant that I didn't have a chance to do it ahead of time. So I was appreciative that at least when we turned up for paying for a lesson without a reservation in the end in the middle of the day, the staff was very nice and accommodating and fit my husband in right away for a private lesson. The price was different by about $7 when we showed up though- maybe as it was last minute? It was a bit pricey but we were happy enough to pay for 1 instead of 2 so my husband could have his surf time. Unfortunately, the instructor, who was very kind, was not very informative as a teacher. He did share with my husband some basics but these were already things he knew. What he was hoping for was to actually get a little more strategic so he could advance his technique a bit and have a better understanding as to HOW to surf, not just follow a command when to jump up. But I guess we're 'Why' kind of students- not really the teacher's fault but it would have been good to have a bit more depth to the lessons. The teacher was very kind though and nice to work with. We do recommend this school but the reason I am giving it 4 rather than 5 stars is for the inconvenient payment situation and the teacher who was good but not outstanding. This school is well outfitted, flexible, kind, and good with customers. We'll certainly look forward to a future visit next time we're in El Palmar. Thanks very much again for hooking us up with some last minute surfing!

Hello dier customer, I am sorry I have not your name ....but first of all thank you so much for taking the time to leave us your opinion. Every opinion helps us to be better. We teach to surf for more than 15 years! About payment, we receive credit cards, VISA, and MASTER but for payment as deposit to guarantee the class ( your place, your booking) we request a Paypal payment for people who do not have bank account in Panama because in Panama it is not allowed to charge by credit card without client in front of us. We did in the past but the bank laws changed.
About "$7" not sure...but we do not have two prices for late or early reservations...I am curious about this difference, if you can email me we can work on it and I will definitely return your $7 back if there is our mistake, please !! And about the "instruction," there are few things, one could be the difference of levels in the class in case you and your husband were together ... and also ...surfing as many things on life need LOT of repetition, especially if students surf once in a while. Difficult to explain !!! but I want to take your opinion for work on your suggested points with the instructors and the office. Thank you for coming and for your time. Flor
