“Beautiful beach, amazing for beachcombing”
Review of El Palmar Beach

El Palmar Beach

Shells shells shells. We've never seen so many colors, types, etc...there are areas on the beach where you're literally walking on piles and piles of shells.

Heaven for us. Great areas for swimming, exploring, surfing...we'll definitely be back!

We loved this beach. It was great for our kids. The shells were plentiful and the tide variations were so huge that it was continually changing the scene. The water is nice and on a Saturday afternoon, we had the whole beach to ourselves.

So far I've been to many places in Panama, and I am happy I found this one. I like it, it is not too crowded and the locals are friendly. During the wekend, if you are coming just for the day, and not staying in one of the local hotels, one has to pay a fee of US$4.00 per vehicle. There are a few places to eat, you can learn surfing, do fishing, or just enjoy the long walks during the low tide.

El Palmar has two faces: high tide and low tide. High tide has huge waves and its imposing, great for all those who are learning to surf. In low tide, there are tidal pools full with little creatures and small fish, makes a great observation. Plus, the beach is filled with shells and rocks of every color. Close by, you can find good restaurants. Good trip!

If you want a laid back little beach with cold beer and a sandy bottom, this is your place. I took a group of business friends here.
