My husband and I ate there last night and overall, it was a great meal. We opted for the 'Tapas Menu 2' which was £30 each. The seafood in particular was good and so were the meatballs. However, the potatoes were covered in chilli sauce and far, far too hot. The rest was ok but pretty average. It did cost a lot though

The restaurant was packed but service was good nonetheless and the waitresses friendly.

The restaurant itself is very nice, if a little cramped and there was a great atmosphere.

We took our staff for a meal at Murillos and couldn't have had a better evening. The food was excellent, the service first class - they coped well with 3 of us having tapas and 3 having main meals and managed to bring it all to the table at the same time. The owner is very friendly and a big supporter of the local community - he deserves the support of the people of Marple.

Visited Murillos to celebrate Silver Wedding and birthday with a party of 6. It was a Saturday night, so expected some delay between courses. What we didn't expect was the main course being served to some but not others. 5 out of 6 ordered tapas. Only 1 got all three tapas dishes. One person didn't receive any dishes. The other dishes were served a good twenty minutes later. When you eat out with friends, you expect to be served together. The waitress told us she would 'sort something out'. One of our party also complained to other staff. Either our complaint was ignored by the owner or he wasn't informed. When the bill arrived, no discount was applied. We asked for a reduction but was told the owner had gone home! At that stage we were offered free drinks. Too little, too late.

Murrillo's is a lovely place, good service (although at times it felt like we were being watched as there were more staff than customers) and good food.
The tapas offer of 3 for £10.95 is a good deal and there was a great selection of them.
Atmosphere was quite mute, it was early (6.30pm), absolutely chucking it down, and they had the tv on showing the football.
Overall, £40 for drinks, including coffee, tapas and bread was quite good.

Just visited on a busy Saturday night, there were no offers available but this is to be expected on a peak night and there are plenty of offers available at quieter times. Other reviews have mentioned poor service but all the young staff on that night were very pleasant and efficient. There were some delays between the courses but I suspect this was due to the kitchen backing up a bit, there were some large groups in and I think we all arrived together. We opted for the tapas option but they do offer the traditional starter, mains and pudding as well. We chose tapas from all sections of the menu meat/fish/ vegetable and all were excellent. My own favourite was patatas a lo pobre, not a very inspiring description but very tasty. We had three tapas each with extra bread with garlic mayo, a pudding each plus two drinks and coffees and the bill was £57.70. A good reliable local restaurant.
