Just returned from Hotel du Golf after a 5 night stay. We booked the Ski Addict package, including Half Board and ski passes. Would recommend this hotel due to its fantastic ski location - 2 chairlifts and a gondola from just outside the hotel. We had a superior room which was good, although was lacking the balcony which was stated on the hotel description - more of a sliding door and a rail! The bathroom could really be improved with a fixed proper shower rather than just a showerhead attachment on the bath. We found the double bed with single duvets quite weird! I think the room photos on the website do the room more justice than they actually are, as really they seem quite cheaply finished. However they were comfortable and welcoming after a long day skiing. We were fortunate enough to have a room only 6 doors down from reception on pretty much the same level as reception. I think you'd have a pretty long walk up and down the strangely laid out corridors if you were at the other end of the hotel! The food was good, we had some lovely dinners in Le Petit Zinc and Le Mont Blanc restaurants and the buffet restaurant had good variation at both dinner and breakfast. We thought the bar drinks were very overpriced and on a saturday and sunday night you had to be there before 7pm to get a seat. On these busy nights we waited 20 minutes to be served! Staff ignored us, and when we asked to be served we were told 2 minutes, then they never came back! Overall we found the staff a little rude and not as friendly and welcoming as we'd have hoped. This includes both reception and restaurant and bar staff, who's customer service skills weren't great. The hotel has a good ski room and we had a fantastic 4 days skiing. Overall an ok hotel which I probably would return to due to its brilliant location.

Not long arrived and found the staff to be friendly, great position plus bonus of being able to book skiing trip on a daily basis which gives great flexibility. It is not cheap but nice quality of room, good facilities... but don't expect to enjoy the pool. My son and I nipped down for a quick dip after skiing... sorry it is full... you can swim tomorrow at 3pm... funny thing is we are here to ski, so after a bit of pressure and fuss booked us for later. Asked at reception if they could help and they said sorry, maybe stay at another hotel next time... OK! wow just read about the money stolen from another room, will start using the safe!!

We had our money stolen from the room, and nothing was done about. The main manager Eric, did absolutely nothing, but instead he called us liars. It absolutely ruined our holiday and we will never return, nor recommend it to anyone. Worst experience ever.

Room Tip: Please avoid.

I booked this Hotel as part of a Eurostar train package and got it cheaper than the €250 double room tariff posted at the Hotel. I didn't know if the breakfast was included until I got to the Hotel and was relieved when it was. I was told it was continental style breakfast but was delighted when I had my first meal there. It had everything you could ever want for breakfast and plenty of it. Excellent breakfast in buffet style and a very high standard. The evening meal was an optional €30 per head and again was very very good with a wide choice of 4-6 courses to suit tastes. I ate there only three times because I was never hungry enough to make good use of the cost/consumption. Room was very modern, clean and appointed with tv, safe, fridge, lovely towels and body wash etc. The spa and pool were excellent for a €15 entrance fee but appointments were needed to keep numbers down to a tolerable level. 5pm slot to 8pm was always quite heavily booked but 3pm to 5pm was readily available. There was live music in the bar each evening which was nice. A lovely touch was the free mulled wine/cake around 5pm when skiers returned from the piste. All in all a very good three star Hotel which has direct access from the ski room to the slopes. I would recommend this Hotel and would be very happy to come back again.

Room Tip: My room did not have a balcony facing eastwards. The Hotel does have rooms with balconies but probab...

A work colleague and I stayed here Thur to Sun on a 3 night quick ski-weekend by train.

We had a twin room which was very clean and looked newly refurbished. The twin beds were very close to each other but otherwise the room was great. Small TV, mini bar and a single seat were in the room. Room had a bath and handheld shower with separate toilet in a room on its own. The room had wifi in it, which was quite surprising, most places tend to just have it in reception, but we had very good, high speed right in the room - and NO EXTRA COST!

Breakfast was great, with the usual continental as well as sausage, bacon and eggs. Lots of coffee options, juice and tea etc.

We did not eat dinner in the hotel (no reason not to, just that we didn't).

We arrived 8am on Thur morning, left our bags in the secure luggage room and were invited to enjoy breakfast (which was a bonus). Room was ready at 4pm. On the day we left, we again left bags in the luggage room, and the hotel has 3 showers with complimentary towels so we could shower and get changed before we left at night and back on the train.

A ski shop is attached to the hotel. Bring light shoes to walk between the ski locker room and your room (no ski boots allowed in the corridors). There was a pool (15EUR) which we did not use.

A great hotel for a base of operations, centrally located in Les Arcs. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would return to it without a doubt.

As an aside, we caught the train from London to Bourg St Maurice (overnight sleeper, not Eurostar all the way) - a very fine way to travel - maximum time on snow - much better than flying!

Four night's stay - 5 girls trip away from the children wanting fun and good skiing with ease! Well, a friend found this Hotel on line and booked us in for 4 nights - we arrived to a nice efficient welcome - clean rooms/ basic with nice views. The bar areas are quite funky with a lovely open fire and live music for the evenings. The breakfast room and selection was very good and was situated at the side of the hotel so that we had nice views out to the slopes. The hotel location was great, adjacent to the ski hire shop/ retail shops and bars - located so close there was no need for snow boots. The staff on reception were helpful with all our requests which included booking and recommending restaurants for us every night and packing us off home on our departure day with a pack up picnic breakfast. A great few days - would recommend.

I have stayed in many ski hotels over the years and I would return to very few.....
bring on this hotel.....
Great location, friendly staff, brilliant breakfasts.....Even the room was ok for three of us, comfortable beds and modern bathrom....
Only real downside, the food is expensive, but there are plenty of local restaurants which are better value and which offer good food......
The hallways to the rooms are something to behold!
Highly recommended !
