“Good value”
Reviewed March 19, 2012

Went with crystal be warned the transfer is nearer 3 and a half hours from Chambery airport and that was is good weather conditions.
Breakfast at the hotel is continental style good quality no complaints. Lunch is the best meal of the day salad, pizza, steak, amazing quiche cous cous , etc. You can also request to have a packed lunch it includes water , sweet, crips, you make your own baggete and you can also have a small salad.
Evening meals were buffet style some good some not so good . Had brisket one night if they had included a sauce or a gravy it could have been a lot better. Also went to the resturant one night this was a good experience you can have a fondue/raglette , and you can have the wine that they serve in the hotel at no exta cost. I drink white wine and over the years have drunk some humdingers but actually the wine in the hotel was okay.
The entertainment in the hotel games karaoke etc are all French language with no translations. Bar prices for the French alps were pretty good 4E for a large beer, G&T 5E .
The staff were all very friendly and helpful tried there best to translate for you when like me you don't speak much of the French language.
The bed rooms were nothing special although the views in the room we had were superb, and I loved the bath at the end of the day, the beds were the 2 foot 6inch variety a bit small but comfy enough for me , but maybe some of you larger men would find them a bit small. Too exhausted to care after skiing all day. I would go back again good value for money ,a few tweaks with the menu and it would have been much better. Access to the slopes is a small walk over the terrace and down a few steps and then onto the snow, pretty good.

Room Tip: Book resturant when you arrive .

we stayed for one week on a cheap deal (paid about £500 each including a free lift pass each). due to unbelievable cheapness of the deal, we were worried!! Thought it was too good to be true. However, the hotel was excellent, rooms are basic (no hairdryer, fridge, kettle etc)but clean and modern.

The hotel ask for 50 euro deposit on arrival (which was news to us). And you have to book the spa in advance, it only takes 15 people for an hour so it keeps getting booked up quickly. There are some limitations on when you can go (however it seemed to depend on which receptionist you spoke to!!) Those are the only negative points about the hotel.

The food was excellent, a massive selection on offer. ever present fresh pizza, pasta. crepes for breakfast everyday. loads of salad, fruit, fresh bread and pasteries every meal. You save a fortune by going back for lunch. the lunch is as good as the evening meal and far better than anything over priced up the mountain. Free juice, wine (which was good) and water. I am a fairly fussy eater and was impressed with the food.

Hotel is an an excellent location. 3 minute walk to ski school and slope. We don't have children so cant comment on the kids clubs but there were plenty of them around and they all seemed pretty happy!!

The staff were EXCELLENT. they worked so hard, were very polite and couldnt do enough for you.

the hotel has a ski and boot room which is no extra cost.

Overall, excellent holiday for the price we paid. However, its not a luxury hotel. I wouldnt pay the brochure price- its too high. But have no reservations about staying there!!
