Aesthetically pleasing and comfortable with it. Owners super friendly so felt very relaxed and at home.
In the run-up to our stay, Mandy was very helpful and keen to make sure our visit was going to be a success. True to expectations, from the moment we arrived at the Old School House we were made very welcome by both Mandy and Mazin - me, Katrina and our six-month-old dog, Barney.
The accommodation was spotlessly clean and the kitchen was well-stocked, with more than the basics you'd need.
The garden was tranquil and offered welcome shade from the scorching sun, with the addition of birdsong, the two resident cats and the chime of the village church bells marking time.
Although the owners' family home is adjoining the accommodation and we did, therefore, hear the occasional sound, this was never an issue and we were not intruded upon at all. Indeed, most of the time we weren't sure if they were in or not.
There is plenty to see and do nearby, although we also travelled a little further to visit Camber Sands, near Rye, the incredible beach there being partially dog-friendly (and devoid of the pebbles of our local beach, in Brighton and Hove).
As we said to Mandy and Mazin before we left, we would definitely like to stay with them again at some point. And I am certain Barney would like to see their dog, Willow - preferably this afternoon!
