We had a good experience in stay in wild the poperty is good however the food needs improvement specially chapatis . The flour used is not so fresh. Still you have a advantage of staying in wild and core area. Many animals you can see from the log huts only. Service is good.

Room Tip: 1-8 rooms are good. we stayed in room no 6.straight in front of medows.

Imagine staying deep in the forest with all modern facilities.Imagine sitting at your porch and seeing wildest of the wild animals just a hundred yeards from you. Imagine waking up and finding tiger pug marks outside your cottege. Imagine as the evening falls, at least 20 jackals starts calling at the full moon glancing through the tall forest trees. Imagine no tv, no cell phone, just pure tranquility, peace and just the sound of the forest. Yes, that is what Baghira Log Huts are for you. A pure poetry, a true tribute to the Jungle Book. Stay in cotteges 1 to 8 and enjoy the meadow. Stay in cotteges 9 to 15 and enjoy the thrilling walk at night to eat your dinner at the main restaurant. Trust me....its more thrilling than the Keneyan Safari. If that is not enough, the food is good, good hospitality, you are 3 kms inside the core area( only property in entire India to be so).The Jungle rides in Maruty Gypsy are good. But dont depend on the guides...........they will create such dramas. Do depend on your senses, keep quiet and keep your ears and eyes and sometimes noses full alart............the big cat, bears can be spotted. But dont depend on the guides. They are a waste of money.

Room Tip: Room 1 to 8

Booked through MP tourism online without any hassles, typical forest resort. Almost inside the park, a gate was very near, u will turn up first if u rush towards gate early in the morning for the ride. The cottages near to the meadows are sublime, u can sit outside ur room and sip a coffee and watch animals grazing in meadows. U will get packed breakfast early before ur ride.
Some cottages are 3-5 min walk from dining area, while walking towards the dinning area u always see some animals very nearer to u ( Bison, deer etc. near to the waterhole )
Worst Experience: NONE! ENJOY NATURE

Room Tip: Near to the Meadows.

For me and the family, it's a dream to stay and breathe Jungle air within forest core fringe that only this hotel offer in Kanha because of its location. All the other hotels are in buffer zone. At Bhagira, we could experience the jungle even inside the hotel area. Meadows beneath a hill could be viewed from inside the hotel compound . There were deer herd grazing inside the hotel compound at the nearby forest end in the morning , and bison family appearing in the evening and jackal strolling down crossing our road.We heard about leopards and tigers giving rare appearance. But we did not have the luck. The food were lovely , there were surprises galore. Hotel staff were very helping and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. The safari was exciting.

Our cot was on one end of the compound and outside it was beautiful forest . And if you open the cot window, love to watch butterflies sway among the wild grass, and a large monkey family play beneath another giant tree. And when it was dark in the night and we hear occasional howls of animals, as we were planning for a sleep, got a knock at the door. Hotel staff guided us to look at a group of ferocious bison just across the hotel private road on a small water hole enjoying a night's rest - one of the hungry bison child sucking milk from her mother. The night was dark and there was silence of the forest to remind us that nothing strange even if the bison family is here. It is more their home than ours. When we went back to slip, in the night we heard quick sound of animals walking on the roof. Early morning when it was still dark, I opened the door to take a forest snap of pre-dawn and my heart beats stopped for a few moment to discover that in the darkness that surround our cottage, there were two pairs of eyes at a distance watch me.Those could be of any animal. But that's pure vintage jungle at its best. It was unpolluted and neat only because the people of surrounding villages made it happen.

As I have mentioned in my review of the Maikal resort, Bargi, our next destination was Kanha National PArk, with high hopes of getting to see a tiger. We had our booking for the Baghira Log Huts, which is the only resort inside the park and is supposed to give one the "real" feel of the wild. The roads are in excellent condition and the drive was a breeze through the lovely country side. What struck me was the cleanliness of the villages and the neatly maintained houses. We reached Kanha, and after completing the formalities at the park gate, we were allowed to move in. The resort is about 3 km form the main gate and we got to see a group of bisons on our way.
We had booked on line and Mr.Ashok at the reception greeted us with a warm smile and completed the check in in a ziffy. Lunch was already on , and we were very hungry and we quickly dug in to the simple but tasty fare. As we approached our room we were thrilled by the surroundings. It is located right in the middle of the jungle and form the front our room was the meadows where we could see a group of Cheetals. The rooms are not really that spacious, but clean with clean washrooms. At night I was amazed to look up to the sky and see so many stars which are not visible in Delhi. One can hear the cacophony of the birds and there is an orchestra of the varied calls of nature. We took a park ride the next morning. Its form 6:30am and we were served tea in the room and was picked up form the resort. Guess waht, my first visit to a reserve forest and within 15 minutes of my first ride, I got to see a tiger. It was beautiful and graceful. We came back after a 5 hours ride and then was served lunch. Food is served as buffet in the restaurant and is tasty and fresh.
After that one can take walk and find cheetals grazing in the proprerty, can look out at the endless meadows or can just go off to sleep.
The resort is very well maintained and the staff is very helpful and courteous. The best thing about the resort is its location within the park, its gives one a real feel of the wild.

I would say, if you have to visit Kanha, stay here, enjoy nature at its best, even if you do not get to see a tiger, you would have no regrets.

Room Tip: Room numbers 1-8 are located near the restaurant and offer a better view. The other rooms are at a d...

Location was excellent as it is the only property located inside the core area of the National park. Rooms are so small and one can hardly move around the room either u sleep or u go to the bathroom. Food is fine... if you are looking for a nice descent property than I dont recommend this property. After checking in the hotel and as soon as i opened the room there was a big lizard in the room hot water is not a problem here but the toilets, bed, bed sheets towels etc are very ordinary and seems they have not changed them for ages. Only if you are going for the location choose this place or else stay at some other hotel.
