“"ENJOYED THE JUNGLE EXPERIENCE"”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2009

If you are visiting a place like kanha, you are sure bound for some adventure but along with it you would like to stay in such a place where you can truly relax yourself and admire the beautiful natural surroundings. Well I definitely had this experience at the Muba resort.
I found the entrance to this resort very intriguing. You have to cross a wooden bridge which separates the resort from the entrance complex. It took me by surprise to see the resort appear behind the trees. The location of the resort is good. The cottages are also interestingly located away from each other to ensure privacy. The rooms are very comfortable and cosy but as the outdoor spaces were more tempting and interesting so I did not laze away inside my room all the time. .There is a provision of bonfire amidst the trees which was a nice setting for evenings. There also is a decent library to acknowledge you about the flora and fauna. There are Ample of open spaces and lawns for children to play. The resort has created its own nature trail which borders the jungle. We went for a night nature trail which was a very thrilling experience we could hear various sounds of the jungle and also enjoy the starry night sky. I happened to meet the owner’s family and they even accompanied me to the pond side which was a wonderful experience.
My dining experience in the resort was good; the food was simple yet delicious. The staff consist of mostly local people and the service was good enough. the staff was helping.
Overall I had a very pleasant stay in this resort and it gives a very homely feel.
If you are the kind of a traveller who has come to kanha to really enjoy the spirit of this place and have some adventure then this is a good place but if you have come here to just enjoy a luxurious holiday with a little bit of sightseeing as well then maybe you wont be able to enjoy this place as much as i did!!!

we decided to spend diwali holidays taking a vaccation and my husband had heard a great deal about muba at mukki so we booked for a couple of days. well the stay was amazing,we liked it so much that we extended our stay for 1 more day.the beauty of the land, especially the lake in the resort is breathtaking. the resort itself was so peaceful we only went out once for safari trip which was well its worth. The food was good and more important the service was excellent. The MD herself was present at the time at the resort and was really very helpful.there were other families present there at the time and we had great fun in the evenings playing games and stuff.it was a perfect way to rejenuvate ourselves and we hope to visit it as soon as we get time off.

The Muba at Mukki website has nothing to do with the hotel! The website is showing another resort which the owner is now leasing. The present hotel is not at all finished, it was a construction site when we were there. It certainly does not have any tree-houses and there is no manned reception.
The extremely kind and service-minded personnel do not know a word of English (the manager knows a few).
The food was excellent but the single course that was served at each meal was so spicy the children only managed to eat it because they had been waiting for food so long (breakfast was served at 10am, then lunch around 2 and dinner at 8).
There were no snacks or other ways of getting food (not a shop for many kilometres). I did try to ask/inform the owner and the staff both in my rudimentary hindi and in English about these things.
There was bad or no information about basically everything, there was nothing to do, nowhere to go (very isolated and right next to the "jungle" which looks more like an ordinary dense forest).
It simply is not worth spending neither money nor time going to this hotel.

  • Liked — kind employees
  • Disliked — Felt imprisoned- no phone (had to use the owner's mobile but he was only there temporarily), no land-phone, no control over food, no vehicle available to get away, from time to time no electricity (no torch), construction work

Dear traveller, It was very heart breaking to see this review on your behalf, at the first place we have given the details of both our resorts in our website, the resort which the traveller has mentioned in the review (tree house) is in pench national park which she did not booked, it was just the beginning of the new season when the construction of our new dining was on it's conclusion, (that's it ) and it was not a construction site as reported in the review.
Wild life, jungle and adventure is our passion, we love to show the people around the jungle and narrate them stories about the adventurous rendezvous with the animals. we've always tried our best to serve our guest in every way and take every care to make them happy, even though the review has highlighted only the week aspects and literally abused our resort , still we will continue and strive in our effort to make people aware about the true meaning of the jungle and beauty of nature.
The traveller has mentioned the jungle as (any ordinary jungle), which is one of the most beautiful & renowned national parks of asia, the traveller was least interested in the wild life or the jungle instead she only sought mistakes , and moreover she wanted a 5 star luxury and facilities , even though she was not willing to pay rightly for that luxury.
